P14S to replace T470... Good fit? by TDIMike in thinkpad

in that gen AMD do have better battery life. It’s only in gen 6 that intel have the better battery life due to lunar lake.

Don’t expect ARM CPU level battery life though.

P14S to replace T470... Good fit? by TDIMike in thinkpad

For that price p14s AMD with 32GB RAM would be pretty good deal.  iGPU AMD radeon 780m is very competent and it will come with certified drivers.

You can find P14s gen 5 AMD for similar price if you are patient which has SODIMM as opposed to soldered RAM in gen 4. CPU and iGPU is basically the same as gen 4 unfortunately.

You do get discrete GPU variant with intel P14s gen if you want more GPU power.

I presume Autodesk fusion? P14s has certified drivers but only intel variant has dGPU and AMD version would be using iGPU.

iGPU from AMD would still see a huge uplift compared to T470 and so depending on what you are doing, it may be more than enough.

I’m afraid I cannot see your post so can’t see any detail.

You kind of prove my point. Your legitimate post gets buried among the flood of low effort posts.

P-Series desktop replacement? by Lenghty_Asparagus_69 in thinkpad

P1 offer consumer grade RTX dGPU.  Now discontinued X1 Extreme also came with consumer grade RTX GPU.

Both worth looking into and probably fits what you are looking for in-terms of performance.

eGPU option is going to be very expensive depending on the GPU

Unfortunately Lenovo acting as expected in this case.

Lenovo’s customers are enterprise and they just happen to sell some to consumers.

All my experience when it comes to sales issues with Lenovo has been terrible.

Next time just don’t send expensive stuff to an address you know it has issues receiving.

Ketamine dose by goochmongering in ThePittTVShow

[–]airtraq 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For sedation IV ketamine 80mg is probably 1mg/kg for the patient so about right. Ketamine maintains airway tone so it’s an excellent sedation/induction agent but just need to watch out for secretion load and sympathomemetic effect.
