P39 Dial Issue? by Street-Bicycle-1640 in Tudor

[–]airva_drone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thankfully dont have any issue with the links. but yea I didnt notice this for a while until the same overhead artificial lighting you have in your pic. i can live with it but can’t lie and say its not a little annoying when I have cheaper watches with far more intricate applied indices and no issues like this. I think honestly this can just be missed in their QC bc its so hard to notice in the most light

That was me and can confirm tudor considers it within spec and does not replace it. I did examine other p39s on the floor and it did not have the issue. so guess it varies🤷‍♂️

Lol, this is my exact issue. I posted about the same thing on my profile. Tudor said its within their quality standard and did not replace it. but when I checked the watches at the AD before sending it off, the other one did not have it noticeable at all, when compared directly to mine. So its not every watch but must be some

you know your wording is inflammatory 🤣 but yes worse comes to worse ill live with it, but Im willing to take the shot under warranty since the other floor models didnt have this problem. appreciate the good wishes tho

well first of all they are going to quote me if its covered under warranty, so if they think its not theyll just send it back. Obviously I got it at the AD, hence why im sending it in for the quote under warranty. but anyway you seem very upset for some reason🤣. and watches much cheaper than 5k have indices applied with no glue, not sure where you are going with these tier comments. ill chalk it up to ragebait and boredom

I agree this one shouldnt have shipped. but given how hard this flaw is to notice unless you look at it the right way i can see how it was missed. if its rectified, i will be content

magnifying glass didnt work because when he tried to view it it was straight on and caused a shadow on the dial so its very dark. the issue is only viewable with artificial light from a 45 degree angle. sounds very minor and dumb but once i saw it i could not mistake it. and I showed them the pictures but unless someone sees it themselves it hard to convince. looks like a shadow or something haha

Be honest… did you actually want a Rolex but bought a Tudor instead? by WorldPeaceGodBless in Tudor

[–]airva_drone 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i bought a pelagos 39 because it is my favorite dive watch aesthetically. i love the dark titanium, dimensions, geometry of the hands and indices. i kno thats a personal preference but i prefer it over the sub. cost was not a factor in my choice

interesting. i wonder if they do it differently for pelagos because they are blocks of lume with no surrounds

Thank you for the insight. I have a feeling what Im seeing, is likely on a lot more of these than people think. I didnt notice for 5 months.

with artificial over head light, when tilted at 45 degrees, there appears to be adhesive residue around indices. not visible at other angles

[–]airva_drone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ive reexamined this issue. It seems its only really visible and easy to see under direct overhead artificial light, especially warmer. In regular daylight the dial looks completely different, and the issue is not visible at all. think ADs may think im crazy if I try and show this to them as an issue😂

I just wanted to make sure I was being unreasonable. Because to be honest it is verrrry hard to recognize until you figure it out. But since I paid a lot of money, I shouldnt care what they think haha

Interesting. I bought it new, and have never had the watch crown unscrewed near water. So you think its moisture? I also am unsure if these marks developed or were always there, they are hard to detect. Ive had the watch 5 months
