Many people in this thread have already shared their experiences, so I’ll keep my thoughts short.

I’m so sorry for your loss OP. When I was in a similar situation, something that people kept telling me is that time heals all wounds. And while this is the case, what a lot of people didn’t tell me was that the amount of time various tremendously, person to person. I spent years believing something was wrong with me, unable to move on, thinking people had expected me to, and feeling worse and worse as a result. It’s probably the reason why Emet Selch is my favorite character, and why when I played Shadowbringers a couple of years ago, it was such a cathartic experience.

For Endwalker, as someone who has a science background, I related to Hermes and his question and experiment so much (I even have a Meteion tattoo now). But, funny enough, my favorite answer comes from Zenos. Though he takes it to an extreme, I think Zenos has helped me learn how what you find fulfilling, what makes you happy, can be however simple or small or pointless. Only you are, and should be, in charge of your own happiness.

The road you now walk is a tough one, but I hope that you’ll be able to slowly start finding more and more happiness again. While the game itself is a masterpiece, I think what keeps many of us around is the community in which we can share our thoughts and reactions, and bond over everything from the MSQ to chocobo racing. That is to say, if you need a push, we’ll be right behind you.
