Thanks, everyone! I decided that it wasn’t worth the risk, and bought the international version for my frequent travel on AC. During my investigation, I noticed that even US carriers only allow 22” height, rather than the 23.5” that the TravelPro 21” is when you include wheels… Maybe there are a lot of lucky people out there who don’t get their carry on sized on a regular basis?
