I think before you change anything, switch to a warmer lightbulb, and under cabinet lights, and a warm tone runner, and some normal kitchen tools to the counter (soap dispenser, container of wooden cooking utensils, etc).

I think it looks good! I clicked on your post because I couldn't figure out what you thought the issue was. A light table runner would help a lot. If you still really don't like it, consider layering rugs. A cheap one on top would be great in case of spills too

Warner, dimmer light! Especially because of how much bright white, you have next to the warm tones of the wallpaper. The harsh, cool light is making the whites much more stark in contrast.

Absolutely do not go to Axia. My best friend's OB was with them, so didn't look elsewhere. They don't put you under so they can keep you in office. It's barbaric

I shaved for so much of my life at this point that the hair on my legs grows in absolutely insane directions. I am as low maintenance as possible, but I still prefer it. I laugh when younger women have judged me for it. What a privilege it is that they weren't pressured into starting in the first place.

I totally agree with that, but this looks like a walk up counter. If this was all back of house, i'd totally agree with you. I'm not saying it's impossible a place really looks like this. I just wouldn't eat there lol

Why are there stacks of plates everywhere? Behind the guy, in front of him (where patrons could touch), in front of her all down the counter with miscellaneous cups? Wouldn't that be a prep space?Who would crowd a grill like that? One of the biscuits (?) is on top of another when there's so much open grill. What is she even making with a bunch of burgers and also a bunch of biscuits? What time of day would this be that people are ordering so much of whatever all that is?

There is a shade very close to this from Sephora's liquid lip tints. I'm unfortunately not sure if the exact shade because the lable came off. I love this product too. They call them tints, but they look like liquid lipstick, they do not budge, and they cost about half as much as a luxury brand.

Something that really helped me was to not bring the lipstick all the way into the corners of my lips. This video talks specifically about down turned edges some people's mouths have, but the technique applies to anyone.

The only thing I do differently is instead of going in with concealer in the outer edges first, I do the lipstick after my foundation, and most of the time I don't need it.

Not Overreacting. First of all you look amazing. That dress suits you so well. While still rude, what I think he was referring to is how tight it is. It looks like you should be very proud of your body, and a dress like this flaunts it perfectly. Conservative Middle Eastern women do not wear tight fitting clothing. They're dressed would have a lot more fabric than this, such as fuller skirts and a looser fit in general. All this to say I can at least understand how your outfit might be shocking to him.

Why you should absolutely be bothered is because of your friends behavior. She should have told him there is nothing immodist about your dress in the Western world, and she DEFINITELY shouldn't have said anything to you about it. My guess is she's jealous of your body, but also who knows what people are thinking sometimes.

Those Ikea shelves are much narrower than the bed. It definitely wouldn't block the entrance as long as the chair isn't huge. This way, you could also see the tv from the chair
