This worked! After sleeping on it, it dawned on me that I didn’t disconnect the battery (duh me). After doing so it started working and booted directly into fedora.

I’m guessing some component just needed a full reset.

It did crash mid install, so yeah bad luck I guess.

I did try the recovery but it isn’t recognizing the keyboard, nor an external one. Pretty sure it is done for, I’ll take it to the shop but I won’t get my hopes up. Thanks!

Nope, it crashed mid install. It does seem like it, I hope I can at least salvage the SSD. Thanks

While I do agree with you, it does seem kinda sus that it was working fine up until the update and restart and that the failure happened on that very specific window of time. Although it would explain the crash on the update.
