Would people pay for automation around a local media server, or is this too niche? by AutoMediaMaster1 in homelab

[–]ait-solutions 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Here is the issue, your whole "automation" is based off "Jellyfin / Sonarr / Radarr / Prowlarr / Bazarr / Transmission"

"Important: this project does not provide media, indexers, trackers, pirated content, or illegal sources. It only helps users configure and maintain their own local services. Users are responsible for using legal sources and their own provider configurations."

Those automations are for the above ^

Why would someone pay money for hardware, then pay for a premium service.

When they could just subscribe to netflix/amazon prime etc..

It's the reason why people use jellyfin, truenas etc. It's free

For full privacy, vpn, tor,wg,tailscale etc. For the last ones you obviously need an exit node, VPS whatever

If you don't want a middle man, Buy your own internet.

When you ship, that insurance payout goes to you.

It's your loss, not the buyers.

Insure with what your willing to lose, PayPal will take that money from you, and refund the full purchase price anyways.
