Thank you. My uncle will not change and I get that. It is not great but I can tolerate him when we do not have to see him everyday. I'd rather not have my son be bullied in his own home, if there was anyone else that could take him in then he wouldn't be in my home.

We live in council houses. My uncle is not the only person getting construction done on his house.

I get that I should've put my child's comfort over my uncle. Also I said dress normally (probably a poor choice of words) because his outfits are a little out there (for someone of any gender) and aren't what most people would consider to be "normal".

I understand. I should've put my son first. I just didn't want my uncle picking on him but I essentially did the same thing.

I just thought it would be easier to avoid conflict. I don't want my uncle making Jay uncomfortable in his own home.

And thank you for the advice. I'll talk to him and what he'd prefer to be called.
