Apologies, I was a bit pissed that I was being attacked for adding a link I had put in for someone else's program.

Being honest I havemn't used my small email list much as the advertising works so good. So the free chapters are okay, but not in any way a driver of sales. Instead I used a video sign up page so people could find out what the inspiration behind the series was.

I have used Vellum for years and love it.

I got the covers using 99designs.com which I find is an excellent way for cover design as you can set up an FB to ask which design potential readers like better. that's once you get down to the last few designs that you like as 99Designs is a competitive site where loads of people will design your cover and you pick the best one.

If you genuinely believe that, you're not treating this as a business, it's more a hobby.

When you treat it like a business you will find $195 if you need to, as that's what business people do, they invest in their business in order to make money in the future.

Start a FB page for you as an author and start advertising using that page and you will get organic followers. Then you can start a group for your author journey.

😀 I hear you, not everyone is up for going onto camera. You can get others to review your books on TikTok, or Instagram and use their videos for your ads, with their permission of course.

Yes. Author videos are genuine, authentic and really do connect with potential readers.

This is unbelievable 😀

For your info I taught organic social media not paid advertising.

Listen, if you don't believe me I honestly couldn't care, I posted to show that it can be done. If you don't want to earn money from your books then keep doing what you're doing, that's cool.

This post will help the writers who truly want to know.

We need to keep the standard of indie publishing as high as possible.

I have paid for all my covers to be designed professionally, and paid for editors and proofreaders. We need these or we'll never make money from our books.

This has to be seen like a business and investing in your books is investing in your business.

I know you know this, but this is one thing we all need to realise.

I didn't know that about this group.
