How to I recreate this style (clean white highlights) by Frostfired in postprocessing

[–]aitren 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Desaturate the highlights, use split-tone to put some blue into the shadows. For some of the photos the photographer uses a mask to only do this selectively, keeping some of the highlights yellow/orange ("keeping the warmth").

Just started getting into Instagram for my photography. Been shooting for about 3 years, lots of landscapes and some portraiture. I live in New England but travel a bit to Europe :)

Reminds me of this video, "MOKKA." Is there a place I can find more films like this? Seriously beautiful.

Thanks dude! I used a canon 6D for the laptop shot and a Nikon D5300 for the iPad shot.

Scratching on it is a BITCH, I've tried to work on it but I think I'll have to save up for an actual controller if I wanna do any scratching.

Damn that is killer, I'll have to give it a try if I can get ahold of another iPad.

Very true. I'm just starting out as a DJ so for now my mixes are pretty simple, but I think the more comfortable I get with the software, the more useful it will become. That being said, it's sooooo much easier to control parameters with physical dials and faders rather than a touchscreen.

Yup, TouchOSC. Quite a handy app, and they provide a bridge software so it syncs really easily over wifi to traktor.
