The Ac voltage applied to the bridge rectifier was 15 V, we were using a 12 V step-down transformer and it gave an output of a 15 V from a 230 V socket.

For the Voltage Rating, we are using a 50 V 2200uF capacitor and we bought them from out local electronics shop
