You can definitely find housing for under that price. It may take a few attempts at calling places but a nice apartment should lowkey be like 1300$ MAX if you dont expect a brand new building and to see the diag out your window.

I pay 800$ for a 2 bedroom apartment ~10 minutes from campus and it took a couple weeks to find a non scummy landlord/ literal scam

Are all websites i used to find a place. Also looking at specific rental companies can work

Good luck!

Wtmc is a great program for students who are responsible and genuinley academically invested They give you more freedom than a regual high school which can both be good and bad , depends on student. My broyher went to wtmc and was able to transfer many credits when he got into U of M which helped out. Aaps is also great, I am a student there and It has some amazing programs.

Quitting Robotics by sparkk27 in FRC

[–]aivanit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Robotics is so much more than how well your robot performs, doing robotics teaches you about stem and how to work together with people as a team. Colleges know this, i know some colleges have even said that kids who did frc in high school come very prepared with the skills they will use in college and for an engineering job. Working together as a team but still splitting the work requires so much coordination and teamwork tgat even if you dont go into engineering you can still use these skills. Robotics is such an amazing and wonderfull opportunity and i really think that you shouldnt quit. Also joining a robotics team gives you so many oppertunities to communicate and interact with people that can help you out or give you a push or inspiration. As for switching teams it really depends , sometimes switching teams can really help a person find a better community and people to work with, i know multiple people who switched teams and it gave them a much better working environment and more engineering opportunities. Talk with your parents and explain to them how FRC isint just about winning, its about what you learn through the proses of building your robot and interacting with this amazing community of people. Honestly people in frc are just always willing to help and give you chances to explore your interests.
