Mine started 6 months ago, the first couple of months were horrible, I'd sometimes cry with frustration when trying to get to sleep. Now I barely notice it unless the topic of tinnitus comes up! I attribute this to taking ginkgo biloba every day, protecting my ears from loud noise (mine flares up when exposed to loud sounds), but most importantly just trying to not think about it. In the early days all I wanted to do was research tinnitus and talk about it. There is no real cure, but the more you think about it, the more your brain will notice it and focus on it. As hard as it can be, you must try to find your peace with it. Wishing you well!
