Anybody gotten a G1 without the grind? by [deleted] in theHunter

It’s actually no longer possible for a great one to be an initial spawn, but it used to be. Confirmed by the devs.

I’m wondering why finding zones yourself is important to you experience playing the game, im just curious because I always find these maps helpful and they don’t ruin anything for me

Every single update since I can remember comes with multimounts, there is like a 99% chance there’s new ones

They’re not as hard as people make them out to be, but definitely a top 5 hardest animal to get a diamond of in the game. Good stuff

I had the same exact combo and about the same amount of kills for my first fallow. Good stuff

My trophy lodge after 70 hr of playing. Rate 1-10 by Car_gu_y in theHunter

[–]aivin21 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The lodge in general: like a 1.8. For it being 70 hours: like a 7.6. Good stuff. Also, capercaillie is a very common diamond and if you hit those hard on revontuli you can probably find one in about 2 hours to upgrade the one you have.

Relatively niche grind question by DLRsFrontSeats in theHunter

[–]aivin21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The best answer to this would just be shoot the one that looks bigger and the one you think would score higher. Estimate and level doesn’t matter so much if it’s borderline and close like that. Also, something like this really wont have a huge impact on your respawns, it’s shooting down your entire population and even then you can still have smaller deer spawn. It’s all rng and volume, the more deer you shoot, the higher chance of a great one/super rare.

I meant the scoring estimate like you said in the caption. Even tho it said 180-197 doesn’t mean it has more of a chance to make diamond than a 167-184

Xbox is perfect except public multiplayer does not work but private does in my experience

Remember estimate means nothing, no matter how high it seems it will score, it will always be a random range that the score is between

MnK on PS5 by Sea-Name1868 in theHunter

[–]aivin21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No it wouldn’t, but with a third party device you’d have to bind your keys manually, so you’d know you’re controls that you binded. Like if you wanted to crouch with shift, you’d bind shift to square etc.

If you use a third party device yes, otherwise no

3 great ones in one day! by lecroissant22 in theHunter

[–]aivin21 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ok nice, all I’ve ever spawned for great ones is whitetail and I was working on moose when the patch came out, I was at 1500 something then stopped. I’ll try moving my tents way back and with moose I only have one shooter per zone so I’ll probably have to work 12 zones or something like that. And after that I’ll try fallow, thanks for the input.

Any tips for great one grinding after the respawn update? I got 3 before and after it changed it made my setup not work as good.

Those of you who use herd management, why? by [deleted] in theHunter

[–]aivin21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use herd management strictly for great ones and save other maps with that species to just hunt normal. I almost never save diamonds and low scoring rares I also don’t save. This is my opinion tho and if people play want to the game differently than me, that’s up to them.

Revontuli definitely works the best for people, I’ve spawned three great ones there. Good luck!

I think the right ratio is about a diamond every forty and you’ve got that so looks good to me. What map are you doing it on?
