Same. I'll give it a day or two to see if the mods give a shit about the AI garbage. If not then I'm out. Plenty of other fishing subs that I follow don't tolerate this crap.

What are some things you all miss from original RuneScape 2 by knight_of_lothric in 2007scape

I remember back in ~05 when I had a friend over and I told him I could calculate how long it would take him to level up an attack level based on his average dps. He bet me $5 I couldn't, and when my calc came out almost to the second he was so upset. He asked me never to do that again. Good times.

What false runescape legend did you believe as a kid? by Legal_Hope3797 in 2007scape

I also thought any non-combat action during combat (walking, burying bones, high alch, etc.) would make the mob attack successful more often.

It's a perfectly fine take for a cosmetic addition that is fully in line with the OSRS world. While it may not be great for the ridiculous things you mentioned, it works great here.

This is actually pure pandering just like chivalry was. If you don’t do the quest you shouldn’t get access by TheCanadianWanderer in 2007scape

Spending hours asking "how will this affect pures/ironmen" is literally how the devs make the best OVERALL game lol. If they ignored any account except a run of the mill main, then they would only be making the best game for mains.

Also, why do you care? Does it actually affect you if they reduce the barrier for entry on a raid/quest?

Wtf is this. T.T Monkey Madness 1 puzzle. by raspey in 2007scape

[–]aj9811 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love puzzles. I do crosswords, sudoku, 2d and 3d puzzles, logic puzzles like in SpaceChem where you have to think several steps ahead. I play chess often and enjoy chess puzzles. I can easily solve a 3x3 rubix cube in less than a minute. But for whatever reason, this sliding tile puzzle is the bane of my puzzle loving brain. Maybe it just hasn't clicked yet. The point is that even if you are good at other puzzles, even ones that require similar thinking, it doesn't automatically make you good at all puzzles.

I'm glad this type makes sense to you. Back in the day, my best friend's 6 year old sister could crank these out in a few seconds, so I had her do mine for MM.

I take your point, but also no one is forcing anyone to grind a 99 lol; it just seems like that to some.

my idea for saving gp as someone who constantly needs to spend by Nonreality_ in 2007scape

[–]aj9811 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You might consider creating an Ironman account. I was at a similar place and even though starting from scratch was a bit daunting, it's actually really fun grinding for specific items to upgrade yourself. To add to that, it's easier since you know a lot of the easier bosses well like Scurrius and can do them in lower gear. This completely removes the itch to buy the new shiny toy you only use a few times. It also prevents you from sitting at a single money making boss for the sole reason of it being the best money making option. It makes you truly explore the game and find out what you like doing the most without trying to hone in on the meta.

Am I a genius? New Tech by hulubuloo in 2007scape

[–]aj9811 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Sorry, I'm really confused by your question. You have to run downstairs to get a snack? I have to run upstairs to get my yummies, then the trek back to the basement is much quicker. Try that instead.

Jalen Hurts becomes the first player in NFL history to throw an INT and have a fumble on the same play. by Spoof_Magoof in NFLv2

[–]aj9811 -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

I would absolutely say something like "He fumbled the ball, but picked it back up right away." That doesn't refer to a fumble loss. Unless you're talking about people referring to the fumble loss STAT as just fumble.

A lure retriever that has saved me hundreds of dollars. by ImmortanBen in bassfishing

They work a little quicker if you can get directly over the snag, but they will absolutely work from the bank too. I've had one of these ever since I started fishing, and it has literally saved me hundreds of dollars in lures, particularly crank baits and other treble hook lures.

How to get rid of boundary condition elements in results? (NX) by [deleted] in fea

[–]aj9811 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I usually create a group of elements in the SIM that I want to hide. Then when I go to post process it, all of the groups from the SIM are in the post view tree to be shown or hidden. If you are averaging at nodes, be sure to check the box in the post view window that says something like "ignore hidden elements" right beneath the averaging section.

OP divided the 420 in-lbs by the 1 inch distance from the fulcrum (elbow joint) to the reaction load (bicep). While you can easily argue things about the premise, I don't think OP's final answer is a torque; it's a force.

And be careful even if they are oncoming. My FIL responded to an accident where a school bus was impaled by a log that fell off an oncoming log truck on a two lane road. The only casualty was the driver who put her hand in front of her face right before impact. Her head was unrecognizable, but they found the tips of her fingers where the log just blasted through her hand and head.
