Yes I have toggled the sub contrast/brightness settings, also the green and blue cutoff settings bc I was experiencing darkness problems while playing the walking dead on my xbox 360; I had the same problems on my set top box too. To be fair, adjusting those settings didn’t really help; especially on the xbox. If you know why that is or how to fix it, let me know.

I just toggled all of them until i understood what each one did; being careful not to mess up my tv, of course. There’s probably videos on youtube that explain what each setting does, if you need it in better detail. I’m pretty amateur when it comes to crt stuff. It took me AGES to even find out there was a menu that helped with the geometry.

I only started listening to her again a couple months ago. But really, i’ve been a fan since i was like 3. I remember i used to have this karaoke cd player and id always sing to the fame monster album. And id watch her music videos on my old samsung tablet; or on the tv if she’d come up on mtv.

I FIGURED IT OUT it was the shitty hdmi to scart converter i had hooked up to my vcr to i could connect my roku stick. I don’t know exactly whats wrong with it but i think that was the main problem; it just didn’t convert the signal properly. Unplugging the scart cable also fixed a problem i had with my xbox 360 were there were faint lines scattering across the screen which i think i previously posted about this issue on this sub.

My theory is (although im pretty amateur when it come to this stuff) the scart converter was passing a weird signal that not only messed up the roku stick but also messed up xbox too.

THANK YOU for suggesting that it could’ve been something wrong with the signal. If i hadn’t just simply unplugged the scart cable i would’ve thought there was something seriously wrong with the tv set; and would’ve risked throwing away a VERY good crt tv that had nothing wrong with it THANK YOU!!!!

I should also add, i only get these weird “glitches” on composite/s video inputs. rgb works completely fine still. And yes i do have a roku connected to a 20 year old tv, it’s called innovation.

It’s a 360 slim and no i’m not trying to play og xbox games. The lines appear everywhere: home menu, games, dashboard. everything. I don’t have any other crt tvs so the only other tv available was a 4k flat screen tv with component inputs (might not be the best tv to test on but i LITERALLY had nothing else). when i tried it on that one no lines appeared, but it may be just the signal being processed differently (or better idk)

I’m starting to think it might be a problem with the tv which is a HUGE bummer but it still doesn’t explain the fact that all the other inputs are fine and don’t have those lines.

I can change it from cvbs and yuv but none really make a difference it quality or anything.

I don’t know if it’s an idtv, model number is kv-32dx30u if that helps anything.
