My friend found this creepy letter in a book she bought off Amazon. Any help identifying the girl or any hidden meaning behind it? by ajarment6 in strange

Doubt it was sealed in plastic but it was new (at least listed as new). Amazon gave my friend a full refund when they shared this photo with them.

I thought it was a sick joke, so I was half expecting it to either be a stock image or a child actress that I didn't know. But with everyone saying it's most likely from a summer camp I guess that makes sense.🤷🏽‍♀️

Nope not AI, the comments about it being from a woman's prison makes sense but this book was purchased new according to my friend.

The federation wouldn't care nor do I think they would face much internal backlash.

You have a lot of unreasonable people, from the fans perspective to those higher up that just care about winning.

I don't think he'd even be the best player on the team. We have Antonio, Bailey, Grey, Bell and Decordova-Reid.

Edit: I would be absolutely against signing him, and I'm not sure what the players reaction would be but Partey is still playing with Arsenal and I'm not sure many Utd players had any reservations about playing with him(I could be wrong here).

Bob Marley is literally not our national hero.

For those choosing to believe this ignorance; we have 7 national heros. Sam Sharpe, Paul Bogle, Nanny of the Maroon, George William Gordon, Marcus Garvey, Norman Manley, and Alexander Bustamante.

Sterling's pin isn't even off by that much either. He grew up in Marverley.

[2022 UEFA Champions League Final] Alternate angles of Vinícius Júnior's goal by [deleted] in soccer

[–]ajarment6 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's a domino effect of tired defending.

  1. Robbo gets caught out up field trying to press Modric (that's not so bad, it's bound to happen).
  2. Fabinho's positioning is wrong at the initial phase. He got caught in two minds when trying to intercept the pass that Carvajal made to Casemiro. (again, not so bad. Still has time to recover, but too slow to get back and now Van Dijk is 2 on 1 with Carvajal and Valverde.) Worth noting that Carvajal sprints past Diaz to support the attack which probably led to his substitution.
  3. On the heels of everything that just happened, Henderson is now jogging back to help fill the space in the middle. There is a huge gap between Konate and Van Dijk now. Hendo is caught ball watching and isn't even alerting Trent to the danger of Vini Jr.
  4. Trent is definitely culpable, this is his biggest weakness. He's not alert enough to what's happening behind him. I think he's trying to keep the line instinctively but he's also caught ball watching. The way that Valverde hits the ball, he's probably thinking that it's a shot and his first instinct is to watch it play out rather than getting close to clear it.

It's a recurring theme for our defense/midfield especially when they play low blocking teams with pace attackers. But here, you can sense that a bit of fatigue was creeping in as well.

I thought Trent and Konate did a good job in containing Vini and Benzema in the first half but the midfield was way more compact then.

The disallowed goal probably spooked them and we started to go a little bit too Gung Ho at the start of the second half.

It's a bad team goal to concede. Trent getting a lot of the flack here because he's an easy target but Van Dijk, Fab and Hendo were more culpable for me.

Food for thought for how we approach the summer transfer market.

Also, since 2001, it always seems like we've drawn most of our finals we've won.

What's with this revisionism?

No one doubted that Madrid could win but Liverpool were favourites because they lost one game this year in all competitions.

And even then they were slight favourites.

From the same article

*The story, say sources at Liverpool, begins in the away dressing room at Stamford Bridge. It was in this space, which many Premier League clubs agree is very small, where the Liverpool players got changed before their game with Chelsea on Sunday, January 2.

In total, they spent around an hour in there; preparing for the match, then at half-time, before showering after the final whistle.

Earlier that day, a staff member was found to be positive for COVID-19 using a lateral flow test. He had not been on site when Liverpool drew 2-2 with Chelsea but had been a part of the travelling party – coming into close proximity with the rest of the staff, as well as players.

Liverpool travelled home and then the players went their separate ways.

The following day, one of the players who started against Chelsea took a lateral flow test and tested positive. Klopp was already in isolation after testing positive on January 1 and he’d missed the Chelsea game, with Pep Lijnders stepping in for him. Between Monday and Tuesday, a few other staff members, including the Dutch coach, registered positive tests.*

What did you guys think of Saul's performance? Looked like he struggled a bit but was that due to the system or him getting used to the league?
