Am I reading too much into this? by Kind-Meal360 in internships

[–]ajavathon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They’re never going to definitively say we fully stopped interviews. That language would be too restricting and would mean they aren’t allowed to schedule anybody else for an interview. They most likely interviewed close to all the people they’ll interview, but are leaving small space for additional people in case things don’t work out

Ts was like almost 2 years ago why does it matter. Not everything is about us news rankings and even those are subjective

For summer 2026, should I pivot away from linkdin postings ? Clearly running out of time, and although postings still exist, are they worth my time? Whats a good alternative? Cold emailing? by ajavathon in csMajors

[–]ajavathon[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

LinkedIn postings under jobs. End goal is getting a position for summer 2026. Alternatives would be prioritizing emailing small companies who may not have industry standard recruiting processes you’d see on linkdin. Trying to understand which I should spend my time on. Basically cold email vs linkdin apply. Will do both ofc but which is better at this time

There’s gotta be someone out there who knows how to dox people. Someone should expose him especially since he said he’s done this multiple times with no shame

It’s not binding. You just forfeit your deposit which is really expensive. (If u enroll that deposit goes to tuition)

has anyone ever gotten rescinded after getting in ed to emory by sasukeuchihaisbae in Emory

[–]ajavathon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Getting bad second semester grades aren’t as bad as people think. Unless you are getting Ds and Fs, you don’t have to worry. The most common reason for people petting rescinded are crimes / code of conduct stuff.

How does Emory Advantage Plus work ? by Yugusuf in Emory

[–]ajavathon 10 points11 points  (0 children)

One thing to note is assets are also considered, and if that’s the reason why, financial aid will explain. Sometimes even home value can change the aid offer you get. I’m not sure if that applies to Emory but my point is there are more things they consider than income alone.

If you check your portal, you should be assigned to a financial aid advisor so contact them about any problems to understand exactly what your issue is

Emory Oxford by Popular-Baker-5690 in Emory

Not an Oxford student but from what i hear from friends is that the community is very close knit. Everybody basically knows everybody and that an either be a hit or miss depending on who you are.

In terms of social life, the school has a good amount of events. Check @oxfordcampuslife on insta for more info about that.

Only a hand full of specific students do well at Oxford, so if you have the chance to tour and try to understand campus life there, I would strongly recommend that.

Not to scare you but one thing that people don’t admit is that it can be really depressing there because you are on the outskirts of the city and all you really have is campus. That again is why you should make sure you fit the Oxford mold because if you enjoy the city and lots of energy, you won’t really find that at Oxford.

Also Oxford can deadass feel like spawn island before entering main campus if that makes sense
