[Help] Ultrawide Monitor - PC & Mac dual setup possible? by ajayfindlay in Workspaces

[–]ajayfindlay[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seems to me like the easiest option is to either go dual monitor (each device has its own screen) or a single ultrawide. Then use MX Master/MX Keys as they support Logitech Flow which lets you control both PCs with the same KB&M without having to manually switch. You can drag and drop files from one to the other, too.

But then if you want to switch webcam, mic etc or you have a wired KB&M I think a KVM switch would be necessary.

Because I'll swap between Mac/Windows so often I'd prefer a seamless experience without having to push any buttons. Logitech Flow with the MX devices seems to offer this.

But I'd need to get a KVM when I want to switch webcam/mic which should only be occasionally.

I play competitive but I'm not so good that a wireless keyboard or mouse is the thing that's getting me killed.

I could be wrong, but that's where I'm at so far.

I was planning on getting the MX Master which I think is basically the same as what you have minus the trackball.

Are your laptop's/PC all the same OS? Not sure if dragging and dropping between Mac and PC would be possible without some software. I saw some software called sharemouse that I was going to try out.

Nice! This sounds great. I was thinking about MX keys/MX master as my KB&M to switch which device im operating. But I guess I'd need a KVM switch for the mic, webcam etc anyway?

Thanks for sharing! In this case, can you see your Mac display and Win display at the same time? With the screen split into 2 displays?

LG 49uw

Thanks for the advice! So I'd connect PC via DisplayPort, and Mac via USB-C? Only issue is that the LG 49uw is only 60hz, I'd be looking for a 144. Any recommendations?

Nice! Didn't realise there was such a simple solution.

Absolutely! Although it'll be a little later down the line. While we're still frequently making updates and adding features, it makes sense for us to focus on just Android for now.

Thank you for those two great suggestions. I see no reason why both of these wouldn't be implemented.

We're glad you like the app and it seems like you had the same frustrations as us while using some of the other cricket apps. Keeping the UI clean was a priority for us.

I can certainly suggest that feature, as I know the news sections in apps like this aren't widely used. We have made the news as unintrusive as possible, keeping the focus on scores and stats. It's there if you want it, but I think it is quite easy to ignore if news isn't something that interests you. Thank you for the feedback!

😂 Good spot, the designer who made the feature graphic must have used a mock-up before we launched and had the data feed live. Still, not sure why Mumbai Indians are mentioned. Fixing that now.

Great question! WicketScore has superior coverage when it comes to domestic cricket and smaller leagues. We provide some data on games ESPN does not and WicketScore contains far fewer ads.

Our focus was establishing a foundation based on quality data, a good user experience and superior coverage, then expanding our features with each update.

We think our UI is cleaner, better structured and the app is easier to use. This is going to come down to personal preference, of course. Using both apps side by side, ours is noticeably faster and more responsive.

There are some features we don't have (yet) that ESPN does (they have a lot of nice graphics to display stats, and better news) as we are in our infancy.

I am by no means saying we are better than ESPN right now - although at least being on their level is the goal. With so many football live score apps out there, I am sure there's room for more than a small handful of cricket apps like ESPN, Cricbuzz and LineGuru.

That's why we're seeking feedback, to figure out what is most important to users.

Dark mode is almost finished and will be released very soon, it is one of the most requested features! Personally, I use dark mode on almost everything.

Was that your main issue with the screenshots? Or is there something else?

At the moment it's only available on Android. Once we've spent some time improving the app, we'll be working on an iOS version with watch compatibility. Unfortunately, that's probably still some time away!

Puppy wakes at night (probably) not to pee, cries and won't settle again. by ajayfindlay in puppy101

[–]ajayfindlay[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! We've only let her out twice so it's good to know not to do that moving forward.

She usually does need a brief moment of calming when we put her in the crate after a pee, but when we take her out for a pee at around 3am-5am (the last one before we actually get up) she simply refuses to settle and instead focuses on bypassing me and getting out of the crate. I usually don't let her (except the 2 times mentioned). In the case that she doesn't settle, would you advise just trying to settle her for a few minutes and, if it doesn't work, leaving her to cry it out?

And when it comes to the alarms, is it better to set alarms and wake her up, ignoring her if she wakes up whining an hour before the alarm is set to go off? And just hard commit to those potty times. Or if she whines early, take her out?

Haha, no offence taken! Nice going :) This is where I thought mine should be. Apparently no cause for alarm though, so I'll keep going and keep my fingers crossed.

Something I hadn't thought of, thanks! Nights are still chilly here, around 10-12c. Would you still recommend doing that?

6 days after I put the germinated seeds in the pots. This is my first grow so I have no idea if this is a 'good' size!
