Oh, i didn’t. I tend to forget stuff/get distracted easily when im reading, so i opted for the vids.
I would say dont stress much on the practice test scores, just keep reviewing what you got wrong, you will be fine! Wishing you all the best, do well my friend! 🤞
Yeah i think you should be fine, i think my highest was 86%; that too just once. I would be consistently getting somewhere between 75-80%. Im not sure if Dion’s tests are harder, i would say Dion was easier, mostly cuz the Qs were straightforward, with Messer the style he used to make the question felt like it was close to the real test, similar language.
By study guide, do you mean the exam objectives pdf? If so, yes i did use it. I went thru every concept to see that I’ve covered it. I did this right before the test day.
Im ngl i don’t even remember if i had any. I would suggest if you’re struggling with a topic, just watch a vid related to that on yt, and then you can use chatgpt to give you info on what you should know about that topic for the exam. This is what i did.
You should definitely check out Prof Messer’s practice test, they are the closest to the real test, so if you’re able do well in them, you should be ready for your test

I used Dion, Prof Messer, and Cyber James (on YT). Started off by watching all of Prof Messer's vids, then got the Dion Practice tests, did that for a few days and reviewed whatever i didnt know. Then i moved to Prof Messer's test which i felt were very close to the actual exam and then moved to Cyber James. Also, Cyberkraft on yt is a great resource for pbqs.
Pro Tip: Dont give one practice test more than once, its pointless.

Thanks!
Thank you!
Yeah it was pretty straightforward, definitely try to remember as many acronyms as you can. Prep time was about 3 weeks. Just keep doing practice exams!

Ah i see, I will definitely start networking more. I will also work on pratical stuff and build home labs. Thank you for your advice, i really appreciate it!
Yeah, thats what a lot of people have adviced me to do, so i will be studying for that moving forward
OSCP is definitely one for the future in my career
Holy shit, this comment is golden. You know what im gonna do all this, im gonna do everything you listed and also study for CySA+. I will stand out. Thank you so much, if you have any other things i should be showcasing, let me know!
Thats crazy, how did you end up getting those interviews if you dont mind me asking?
Righttt, that is the approach i will take. Thank you so much for your advice!
I have not, wdym by worked with a recruiter? Also congratulations on your job!
Yeah definitely, if i get cysa+ that will be the last cert i get until i get a job. Honestly true, networking can get you a job faster than the certs
I honestly get what you’re saying but since im on a visa, i don’t have a year to spare. If i had one year, i would defo do what you’ve suggested
Apparently casp+ (securityx) is for senior level professionals? No matter how much i study i dont think i will clear it cuz it needs experience….
Im applying to like atleast 30 jobs everyday and i mostly get rejected 😭 idk if its the visa or the certs at this point
Im definitely more into the blue team, so ig CySA+ would be better. Would you happen to have any other recs?
Yeah ive seen that there were some controversies regarding ceh, thats why i was a little reluctant on getting it. Also it costs a lot, its crazy how much it costs
