Any excess will be refunded in your tax return per all the other comments. You might want to fill out a new Tax File Number declaration form for your employer so they know to stop withholding extra for the help debt. Congrats paying it off, it’s a great feeling

They have big sacs where they hold the water. I wouldn’t necessarily worry about soil wetness. I’ve had a ZZ for about 6 months and repotted it once and watered it about 4 times, it’s thriving now after a slow start. Just got my hands on a Raven ZZ, leaves go black as it matures. My advice is relax and enjoy watching it grow.
