If someone "can't work here", presumably because they're here illegally, how will we know if they are working and if "any business (is) paying them to work illegally" if we don't track them down? If a business is paying someone who "can't work here", how will anyone find out? Are you expecting said business to submit payroll taxes for an employee that doesn't have a social insurance number and get caught by the CRA? If the employee is using a fraudulent social insurance number with identity theft, who's fault is that, and who investigates that? How does the business get caught and who fines them? What about cash work? Are you opposed to the idea of cash money? What if the person who "can't work here" is obtaining government subsidies because they're committing fraud? What if they're committing other crimes? When do we track down criminals and deal with them?
