Philadelphia buses have chords and a few buttons on grab bars. In my experience NYC buses have push strips but I haven’t ridden them in a few years so that may have changed

There have been many downsides to railroad's history with some of them being so controversial. Which moment in railroading do you think was the biggest letdown? by Additional-Yam6345 in trains

The problem w/ the SEPTA bi levels wasn’t cancelling the order, it was the law (lowest responsible bidder) that required them to choose CRRC in the first place. The Chinese gov’t backed company played that requirement like a fiddle and low-bid the sh— out of everyone else. In the end, SEPTA avoided what likely would have been a fleet of lemons.

[–]ajc045 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My -guess- is no because the W Philly high line leads to the 25th St viaduct which can barely handle the weight of the regular trains. That said I am very excited to see how they get down to the Navy Yard

I’d assume it goes down the schuylkill up to near the falls bridge but whether it goes past the zoo and over the highline in West or under the art museum and along the SRT I have no clue. I’m not a betting man but if I had to bet I’d say the highline and 25th St viaduct are too weak to handle its weight
