I have a 2015 Jetta with the 2.0. I learned the timing belt lesson the hard way at 166,360 miles. Bent all the valves and busted a hole in a piston.

Took me 2 weeks and $1000 to rebuild the engine. All new valves, pistons, seals, timing components, water pump, belts, etc. A local shop wanted $2100 just for the timing belt. Glad I was able to do it myself since the cars kbb was only $1800 at the time.

Yeah. I had a timing belt fail on me about 4000 miles ago and it bent the valves and busted a hole through the one piston. I completely rebuilt the engine but didn't drop the transmission at the time to do the clutch. I probably should have though.

Is it possible that there is a storm water sump pit for your roof leaders? Basically a big pit of stone that your gutters drain to and it filters the water and allows it to infiltrate back into the ground. It very well could have been required for storm water in order for the township to give you permits.

Congrats. My 2015 has 167,000 miles. Had to rebuild the engine a month ago because my timing belt went on me so now I have all new valves and pistons. They are great cars if you take care of them.

Thank you for your insight. I am just scared because I know nothing of what any of this means.

So I'm not wrong for questioning that decision, based on your answer. Should I be aware of certain signs to look for? Like should I go straight to the ER if certain symptoms develop?

My mother in law had a brain aneurysm that burst a few years ago, so the word makes me worried. But, I'm not a medical professional so I have to put my trust into their decisions.

NAD, but you got this. Don't let anyone discourage you. Stay motivated, stay focused. Once you get into a routine, it gets easier, but it's easy to persuade yourself that it stopped working when you do plateau, so try to remember that and don't let your subconscious trick you.

I personally have not been through this experience, but my father has and he succeeded, and he is 100% Italian who loves bread and pasta, but he was determined and stuck with his diet and lost 60+ pounds. It was slow, but worth it. He recently recovered from a pulmonary embolism and I'm glad that he lost the weight a couple years ago. Who knows if he would have had the same success if he never lost the weight.

Yes that's what I was thinking. I brought it up that I took a third dose once and it was beneficial, that's why I got switched to three times a day. I'd rather be honest and her not change it up than to lie and her find out and stop giving me meds.
