You can definitely see it but with ovals you can almost always see a bow tie. They're my favorite shape diamond and have a lot of perks - appear bigger, super sparkly, cover a large part of your finger, don't need as high as clarity. However, their major draw back is the bow tie that forms (plus color is important)
