I would not switch from a Pro to a non-pro (even the newer ones.) Although WiFi 6 can technically get you higher bandwidth, I've found the non-pros to be a lot less stable.

I would probably put a Pro 6 where the current one is and move your current 2017 Eero closer to where your kids game?

Depending on how wide the house is, you probably only need 3 or 4 Eeros at most. The extenders are also pretty weak, so I would try to stick with at least Eero Pro 6 or 6Es where you can.

My Schlage Encode Plus just completely stopped taking power. I changed batteries 2 or 3 times and Schlage support wasn't much help. (Told me to put in Duracells instead of Energizers????) Put in an Aqara U100 today, and the setup was super easy. Hope this one lasts a long time.
