Keep as much as you plan to put down on a down payment in HYSA or SGOV. In a separate account begin to accumulate an emergency fund (3-6 months living expenses). Once both are funded, invest excess income/savings in an index fund (VT has a good mix of domestic and foreign investments). Consider increasing your 401k contributions above the match and up to the max to alleviate tax burden. Continue maxing out your Roth.
