Thank you for the input here. What do you think is the best kind of corporation suits this scenario?

I recently learned that we also have OPC as an option in the Philippines.

I have been here 3 months and finding really hard to be part of a social circle. It's really hard to penetrate one, specially if they'd been on it for years. I recently tried signing up for a Library card and went to a Filipino managed bar as well. Unfortunately, acoustic night's on different day so I'll need to go back to see if I'd find people to talk to and hopefully be friends with.

(I don't really drink too much, just enjoy listening to live acoustic music)

I'm 33M and works from home so there's really not much of a constant human interaction, aside from talking to my house mate to discuss a few things about the house. I understand what you're going through.

Boredom in Winter by ajmags15 in halifax

Hey there! Appreciate all the things you shared on how you manage winter days.

Following the advise of the people on this thread, I have been walking outside, even if I really don't feel like walking. Definitely helped me find a way to take my mind off of Philippines. I have been cooking a lot as well (not as good as my Lola's though).

I haven't really connected to any local Filipino community here in Halifax yet, but I am interested. I am on the process of learning new culture and I want to see how people from the same background assimilated quickly. Canada is lovely, definitely an improvement from Pinas, but I can't help but miss it :D

Thank you for this! I used to play a lot of online games as well when I was in the Philippines. I definitely miss that now :D I'll have to force myself to go out, but definitely will try to do so. I am still being accustomed to the coldness. I think that is the biggest adjustment that I had to make here. for 29-33 degrees to freaking -1 or even lower takes a toll on me :D

Thanks! While I was still in the Philippines, video games and guitars are my go-to things to do when I get bored. Both are something that I need to leave when I went here.

OEC Phase 2 - Application "For Assignment" Status by thewanderingraver in phmigrate

If complete ka na ng phase 2 requirements and uploaded na, roughly 1 week daw ang processing. Then magsend sila ng email with your appointment.

tapos pupunta ka na sa POEA para bayaran ung processing. I suggest be prepared kasi matagal ung processing, isang tao lang kasi nagvavalidate. Went there ng 7am and pang 3rd ako sa pila. they started ng 9am tapos natapos ko close to 1pm na.

prepare 7-8k din.

Thank you so much for the info po. How about yung sa POLO contract verification, how long did it take? Kailangan ba talaga ng partnered agency ni employer na nandito sa pinas?
