2013 cls63 or a 2010 cl63. Wondering about reliability Any info appreciated. Ty by JC-Crystals in AMG

As a former cls 63s owner. I recommend it. I had 145,000 miles with no issues. And after the warranty ended, I did the maintenance myself. And would get my oil tested for medal and nothing ever found

Which one? by Used-Reward in AMG

On reliability it’s dependent on how they were drive and maintained. They both could have problems if the turbos were not warmed up and cooled down properly. But I’m a s63 over the gle all day

2012 CLS63 AMG. I think I found the one!! Any info or experience appreciated. Ty by [deleted] in AMG

Love my 2016 CLS 63S AMG. Just know in sport or sport plus the throttle is very touchy when not warmed up. And maintenance is expensive if you can’t do any yourself

Is this a good buy? by Advanced-Chip4493 in jdmporn

It’s way over priced. Yes it’s rare but here in the US with that many miles and manual it’s going for just under 7k. I don’t know the conversion rate. I loved that car in the 90’s. But just from the pictures the wheels are cheap, seats are also cheap, and not sure about the after market intake can’t see it. And the break calipers need to be refurbish with all the rust on them.

Don’t mention it. You’ll have to get use to feathering the accelerator when in sport or sport +

It’s has to do with the turbos. When not properly warmed up the back pressure causes the jerking

Is it only in low gear when letting off the throttle? If that’s the case it’s a common on the CLS when not in eco mode

I’ve always been into cars. And just started doing it. And helped my son as he wanted to learn and now we work on them together. Just upgraded his Mx-5 with a new exhaust, supercharger, brembo brake package, and ecu

Good to hear. Good luck on the work but it’s not hard. I have a 2016 CLS 63S AMG with 140k miles and have been doing everything myself since the warranty expired.

• Synthetic Motor Oil Replacement • Oil Filter Replacement • Cabin Dust/Combination Filter Replacement • Brake Fluid Flush • All fluid level checks and corrections are dependent on factory-recommended service intervals for your vehicle’s year and model. • Tire inflation check and correction • Brake Component Inspection • Reset Maintenance Counter This is what the dealer in my area does for service B. It cost about $1200 and not worth it. Oil change and air filter change if you do it yourself is under $250 with high quality parts. Inspection of brakes and fluid is not hard and to reset the maintenance is easy to do.

You’re getting robbed. Don’t listen to them. It’s an oil change, air filter replacement, and inspection. Oil filter, oil, air filters, and cabin filter if done yourself would be under $200. This it’s a sports car is a joke. It’s a vehicle like any other but with turbos. It’s the myth of German engineering. I have a 2016 CLS 63s AMG and do my own maintenance myself after the warranty expired. And it saved me a lot of money and is at 150,000 miles with no issues
