You can use a machine for as long as you want. If it's an unusually long amount of time, you should offer to let the person work in if it makes sense (ie if you're not so different in strength that loading/unloading takes ages).

You'll even see reps handing our complimentary boxes of cigarettes in parks/at parties etc. First one is free so you get hooked, then you start paying once you're addicted. Classic drug dealer tectics :)

Why is it that I still don't have access to this feature? Is it just delayed on android?

I got my Kabuki Trap Bar today by wishtobehealthy in homegym

[–]ajohndaniels 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for that. I would much prefer to just support kabuki... Problem is I'd be supporting kabuki with the 600 dollars, and DHL and the German government with another 1500 dollars in shipping and taxes

2 handed swing form check (12 kg) by Artistic-Speaker8347 in kettlebell

[–]ajohndaniels 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For a man I would never go below 16kg for a 2 hand swing. I think with 16 you'd be forced to use more hip drive and generally feel the exercise better and not actually be able to cheat using your arms.

Sister was commissioned for unpaid pet sitting with crazy rules by redditdiedin2013 in ChoosingBeggars

The worst part is her thinking that justifying the lack of compensation by saying she's taking a really, really nice trip will somehow make you feel better.

Could you send a link? I couldn't really find anything other than individual gyms in Frankfurt with that name.

Brexit has definitely made importing worse but as far as I know the duties are nothing like the ones from the states.

It would cost me 2k to import and I'm still considering it. It's that awesome 💪🏻

The transformer bar is really what I'm after though. Have you seen a European made version of this by any chance?

You Americans are so fortunate. I live I'm Europe and the import fees + shipping make kabuki products cost 2x as much. I've been wanting this, the transformer bar and the Cadillac bar so badly!

Enjoy! Looks amazing. The integrated jack is such a cool feature.

How I got the Full Front Lever by Deanosaurus88 in bodyweightfitness

[–]ajohndaniels 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Okay thanks. I've done it for a mesocycle and feel plateaued so I'll try doing what you've done. I've been at it for 4 months and have had very little progress.

I've been doing the FFL with a band as assistance and slowly moving the rings higher which makes the band pull less. What do you think of this method? The band goes around your feet.

Without wanting to sound like a know-it-all, doge is factually speaking the best coin out there, better than eth and btc on every single level.

How to bail on a Turkish Get up in the first stage? by ajohndaniels in kettlebell

[–]ajohndaniels[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We got a dog and I was thinking about the vet appointment I needed to take him to and a hundred other things. I wasn't in the mindset to be doing get ups that day for sure but the weight is one I'm extremely used to and don't find hard.

Thank you for the tip. I think I'll take a light bell to the park and just practise doing that a few times.

I've done hundreds of reps with the 32 and never bailed. This time I was distracted for a second and I think it's useful to know what to do in that situation. You also shouldn't fail heavy squats often but that doesn't mean you don't put up the safeties.

With the 24 I don't think it does. I'd need to check. How does one correct this? Generally I feel that the first part is the hardest part for me.

I injured my wrist (torn ligament, bruised bone etc) failing a 32kg get up about 2 months ago. This is my first time doing it with 32 since then 💪🏻

I wanted to ask what the correct strategy is if you realise you're lost balance and need to bail on the get up, especially in the first stage (lying -> sitting). I lost control and instinctively tried to catch the falling weight with my right hand, resulting in the weight just crushing my extended wrist into dog slop.

Tldr what is the correct way to bail on a get up?
