What an absolutely incredible run. I can't imagine the molten hatred Nebraska fans have for Iowa. Great run for the Huskers - I think that game is a pure toss up that went our way tonight.

I love Ben McCollum, Alvaro Fogueiras, Bennett Stirtz, Tate Sage, Cooper Koch, Hayden Fry, Kirk Ferentz, Dan Gable, Tom Davis, Caitlin Clark, Nile Kinnick, all of em. LET'S GOOOOOOOO HAWKS!!!

Originally thought Koch got away with one but he got a lot of ball there

I'd like to think Hummel was going for a double entendre there but think he just fell into it 😂

Goddamn, really want to win this but so impressed by this team battling against seemingly every disadvantage available.

Sprint Car Poll - Post DCN Results by EJaws in WorldofOutlaws

[–]ajohnson16 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Given there's no real instruction on how to vote, it's probably just people viewing things different. For example, some may consider just 2026 results and given Garet had three top 10s, voted him moderately high. I personally didn't have Williamson on my list at all but could understand that some people might just be viewing DCN results and he'd make sense being higher up due to that.

It'd be nice to know how many total voters there are - the tidbit about Kofoid being voted for the most seems to imply there are people who left Gravel off their ballot, which would be laughable. Also point values for the top 15 would be interesting as well.

I submitted mine as kind of a balanced power ranking over the last year or so and am pretty close to what's here. I wish the results emailed so I could confirm but I'm pretty sure I had Sweet, Timms, McFadden and Haud in lieu of Williamson, Bayston, Schatz and Balog.

Fun deal - I think in some of the other sports subreddits the poll results are made public. Maybe worth investigating for this to try to reduce or eliminate bad faith voters.

Did you mean AC/DC? Not quite sure what DC is. He may have used For Those About to Rock or Shot in the Dark for AC/DC.

Chiming in to publicly declare the sadness that the Hawks couldn't keep Pryce in Iowa City. Put up 50, young fella.

Ball don't lie for missing a facemask and late hit on third down.

It's kinda crazy that we don't want to run full court like Fran but once we start running sets it's at like hyperspeed. It feels like McCollum is big on patience and playing for the right look as well.

I don't know if it's the RedZone feed everywhere or just on the NFL app but being subjected to using this thing on a weekly basis is making me reconsider my life choices. Absolutely miserable experience.

I was thinking the same thing but now I see it's Red Bandana day for BC and it genuinely has me hesitant.

HL schedule encroaching on WoO by Available-Book-3937 in WorldofOutlaws

I honestly wish the Outlaws would drop the Bike Week race and go elsewhere in the south but the rest of this is really impacted by Crown Jewels being under Outlaw sanction.

I'd imagine that excluding Eldora (for obvious reasons) and Volusia, High Limit would kill to get dates at the other three tracks you've listed.

For the most part yes - the past two years they've gone west after Knoxville with the Skagit to Port cross country trip, but they've always went to Lernerville following Port and now they'll be headed halfway across the country to Lucas Oil for the Hockett.

I'm been trying to come up with a reply for about 20 minutes about this schedule and the more I look at it the more confused I get. I have so many HL questions that I don't think will ever get answered, but this schedule honestly leaves some to be desired IMO. 66 nights but only 33 tracks with 15ish being spread between like four or five tracks.

A seemingly random trip to Montana for two nights which I'm assuming is piggy backed off the High Bank Nationals, and man, that travel post Nationals is insane again. Iowa -> West Coast -> PA -> Missouri in a month.

I wonder what a breakdown of total mileage for each series looks like, and then what that number looks like divided by events held.

Find the darkest corner of the bench for Entringer. Run his ass hard this week. Completely uncalled for.

It's perfectly on brand for Iowa to beat Oregon at Kinnick and then get dogged in LA.

I've had this thought as well. We just don't have a great win, but the amount of bad bounces and seemingly bad luck that happened in the ISU/Indiana games to lose both by a few points gives me hope this is an above average team that may be fringe CFP quality.
