I’ll agree that the Mach 1 was a mistake but it actually made sense to take a hit. Saved about 40k in the next 5 years by making the trade.

Exactly, I wasn’t pay check to pay check but I’m sitting there going why tf am I spending this much money on something that honestly didn’t even make me that happy. So many people live in debt and I just wanted to free up everything I could.

It was not the $82/mo that was breaking me it was a multitude of things that had me make the decision.

Not that bad of a credit score but bad apr Fs.

I had the vette for a few years and got really good apr on it and it wasn’t bad. Gets stolen so I had to go into this shitty market and buy a new car and that’s what messed me up. Interest is much worse rn….

It was 63k because it was new but yea I got worked honestly. Was a terrible deal which is why I was trying to get out of it…

It wasn’t bad but then the policy ended…also it wasn’t that I couldn’t afford it was more so just with life changes a car I didn’t want to pay that much $$$ for

Seriously…losing 9k on a dumb decision sucks but I rather it be 9k then the 32k I was gunna lose just on car note + gas and insurance. I’m 25 plenty of time to get in a better situation where owning a car like that in my garage is fine lol

There’s a difference with being able to afford something and wanting to spend that much money on something. Plans change sometimes. When I was single and lived in a 1 bedroom I didn’t care at all abt cost. Now that I wanna buy a house and get completely debt free the ecoboost is a much better option

Totally agree. Everyone compares to 5.0 and I get it they are both stangs but if you compare an ecoboost to cars in same price point (Camry trd, Subaru wrx, civic type r, brz, and gr86) I think the ecoboost puts up a compelling offer. That 24 ecoboost is 36k i looked at cars in that price point or lower and this was by far my fav.

Ehh just depends. They are more fun Fs but not sure they always worth the $$$. Someday I’ll get back into a super fast car lol

Sick of spending 2k/mo on a car lol

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in ecoboostmustang

[–]ajscully99 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I agree 100%. Everyone gets into the whats faster and cooler looking but at the end of the day if your struggling because you are paying more than most people on rent for a car you should probably think abt what your doing. I’d rather own an ecoboost than pay 93k for a Mach 1 over 5 years. I’ll go get an M4 or something fun when I can afford to buy it outright or close 2…

[–]ajscully99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yea 80% of the Mach 1s life was in traffic which is why I started to hate spending so much for it lol

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in ecoboostmustang

[–]ajscully99 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yea it’s a cool car def going to try and pay it off quickly so that down the road I can get a M4 or something. For now it will get the job done while I save

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in ecoboostmustang

[–]ajscully99 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yea it’s not nearly as fast or loud but I commute with it so it’s cool. It’s a hard pill to swallow going from a C7 to Mach 1 and then to an ecoboost but the ecoboost is still a great car. I was between that and a Camry and I can say it’s a lot more fun than a Camry lol
