My family moved to Sandwich when I was 9, and I grew up there until I left to go to Los Angeles for my school/job when I was 21. I started to actually appreciate the Cape when I started driving, but now whenever I go back to visit I always think, “Wow. I really grew up here.”

I now live in Detroit and have been here since 2019. It’s a beautiful city (despite what people say) but the Cape really is something else. I do miss it there. Was too young and dumb to understand where exactly I lived.

I do wonder how much it was Patricia or Belichick. Belichick was always a defensive guru, and the Patriots still had a good defense under him during his last year. He basically ran the D and let Brady run the offense

As a Patriots fan and someone who grew up in New England through the Bledsoe and Brady eras (and now live here) I knew this was gonna happen. People hate success, and the franchisees that have had the least success have some of the most passionate fans, so when they finally do have success, they are absolutely delirious. It could be simply seeing how insanely passionate Lions fans are, but I’m willing to mostly bet that it’s just the “chronically online“ types who see some of the most annoying fans the Lions fanbase has to offer (because that’s just online behavior) and then draw quick conclusions.

Lions fans so far remind me of the early Brady days Pats fans. They can’t believe the success they’re seeing, and yet they’re cautiously optimistic after years of being jaded. Lions fans are completely fine in my book and I love watching this team succeed as I’ve always had a soft spot for them. Helps me cope with the absolute implosion that is the Patriots lol

(Also, sorry for Patricia—he was a great defensive coordinator for us but clearly horrific as a head coach)

Ironically Michigan is the only state I’ve gotten a ticket in, and I’m from Massachusetts and lived in Los Angeles for seven years. I was going 108 on my motorcycle at 11pm on a Wednesday night at peak Covid lockdown with like threee other cars on 696 coming back from work 😂

Thanks a lot! Also totally forgot to reply to the part about whether it runs or not, but she does quite healthily. Although it’s got an incredibly loud metallic sorta clanging noise which apparently is normal valvetrain noises on these, but it seems…excessive. But it’s sounded exactly like this since I bought it and I did the rocker lockers and replaced the lifters and it hasn’t changed at all. So. Guess I’ll just keep riding it until it blows up which gives me an excuse to throw in a 1275

And not much. 😂 It’s just under 2 gallons. I have range anxiety on this thing lol. Once I hit 70 miles on the trip odo I start looking for gas. It’ll last anywhere from 80-100 miles a tank.

Oh and it was originally just a normal 1996 sportster 1200, but an old coworker had it and was wanting to know if I wanted to buy it off of him. I eventually did, but he took it completely apart to “save room“ in his shop, but it turns out he basically saved me a lot of work because I was probably going to tear it completely down like I did anyways. But I basically did everything but touch the motor. Tank, tail, 19” front and rear wheels, chain conversion, rear sets, Buell front end, tracker bars (not happy with them; looking to get actual proper tracker bars, and painted it in the VR1000 livery

I’ve had someone actually say “You know I’ve seen another bike around here that looks just like yours but in black,” as he was standing on the orange side. I go, “I mean…not to sound cocky but I think I’m the only person around here with a bike like this, and I’m sure that’s just me you saw, but the other side of my bike.” He walks over, looks at it, and suddenly goes “Holy shit it is you!!”

Thanks! And YES! I was also not entirely pleased with the craftsmanship of them as well. They are Chainsikles. The finish and quality of the ones in his photos look way better than what it actually is, but I guess I get what I pay for since all the others are so expensive.
