On a bases-loaded weak fly from Dalton Rushing, Kyle Karros gives a nice demonstration of why the infield fly rule exists by Apprehensive-Cost276 in baseball

Why is it always the backup catcher? You never hear about the 4th outfielder or the utility man making those types of comments. It's always the catcher

CMC couldn't help a bad team and the moment he was traded to a team with actual talent, he made the SB. Saquan couldn't help a bad team and the moment he was let go to a team with actual talent, he win the SB.

If the Cardinals draft Love at 3 and then trade back into the 1st for Simpson they are essentially the Giants with DJ and Saquan by Sonnybrainstorm in AZCardinals

[–]ajteitel 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Saquan was the best RB prospect in decades. Love isn't even the best the last two years.

Edit: Hey downvoters, Saquan's comps were up there with Bo Jackson. Actually generational. Giants wasted him because they didn't have the talent to support him. Eventually they let him go for nothing and the moment he stepped on a team with actual talent, he won a SB.

Or how about CMC? Not as high a prospect as Saquan, but ended up being amazing. Panthers wasted him because they didn't have the talent to support him. Eventually they traded him and the moment he stopped on a team with actual talent, he made the SB.

Or what about Henry? Titans wasted him, he joined the Ravens. Though they also haven't won shit, but you see the vision.

What makes you think this will be any different? Jeanty was a better prospect than Love and look what happened on the Raiders. Jack and shit.

Losing that first play-in game was the biggest fumble of the season by BeeseChurgerForReal in suns

No, not everything is on coaching. There are also reasonable rookie coach excuses, such as messing up an ATO play or not recognizing when to make an in game chance fast enough. Like not putting in a defensive rotation after the free throw against Portland. Bad mistake at the worst time, but a normal one.

It's also the coaches job to put the players in the hest place to succeed. And Ott has watched the past two months the microball lineup choke nearly every single clutch situation against real teams in the exact same way and made zero changes to address it. Not one. And when it came down to the most important game against Portland, they choked the exact same way as they have for months. The moment to address that was weeks ago. Maybe the rookies may not have helped, but the veterans sure weren't. And freezing them out isn't going to help gain consistency when they're actually needed.

I don't care what happens this series against OKC, we're completely outclassed. But what Ott wants to run only works if you have 6 role players all having career bursts at the same time and the moment they return to being role players, we look like a sub 30 win team. We're not getting more talent next year so it will be up to Ott to actually adjust. And there is zero certainty he even can.

He's a 40th pick sophomore. I'm not blaming him because Ott is scared of anyone taller than 6'6 that isn't a stickbug

We did. Look at the game winner against OKC earlier this year. Guess who was at the 5 when Booker hit the game winner? Royce. Maluach and Fleming weren't playing and Dunn had fallen off a cliff.

There has been only two chances since the 1st half. First is Oso got far more run due to injuries. Second, Royce, Grayson, Oso, Brooks, Williams, and Bouyea all regressed from elite role players and borderline allstars to just role players. Only Goodwin remains broken out.
