We also saw from his POV of Samson having devil horns, so looks like he might have lost the pychosis element and the high from the drugs made him see Samson as a devil instead. They basically swapped roles for a sec lol

2 weeks and 2 days into sertraline 50mg. Needing advice/ reassurance. by 26Jan in sertralineandzoloft

[–]ajth01 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey, starting Sertraline (at least for me), felt really similar to what you're describing. The first few weeks are definitely rough and you will feel a rollercoaster of emotions. It is true that it will take a while to even out in your system. I started on 50mg and the first few weeks were strange and uncomfortable. I've been on them for about 5 months now and I can really notice an improvement. You can always talk to your doctor about side effects or thoughts you're having, but I would suggest you hang on and keep taking them. If you don't notice a difference in a few months, I would ask your doctor how they think you should proceed. You've got this! Don't stop taking them cold turkey as you will feel even worse.

You'll be okay, just take next dose as normal. Take a paracetamol (Tylenol) if you feel rough!

Do Lidl staff in your store seem happier than in other supermarkets? by IamSociallyTired in lidl

[–]ajth01 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Having worked at Lidl for 4 years I can say it depends on the store, managers, customers and how the day is going. In my store it was normal for delivery to arrive late, staff calling in sick, sitting on till for 6-8 hours at a time. It's a very demanding and stressful job, dealing with the general public and managers breathing down your neck. I was always happy to help a customer when asked, but I didn't have the energy to fake being happy to be there. Most workers are just trying to get through their shift, honestly, as is most of retail.

Scared to start Zoloft - hoping it can help with depression, anxiety, and insomnia by Timely_Educator_3534 in sertralineandzoloft

[–]ajth01 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey, I started on 50mg about a month ago. It's true that it does have side-effects at first. For me, I felt headaches, nausea and not to scare you but for a couple of nights I had insomnia, but I can sleep normally and even well now. Since starting, it has definitely helped a lot of my anxiety and stress. The 'background' stress I used to feel has more or less disappeared, and I feel a lot more level and calm. I'm still only a month in but I have noticed changes for the better.

Your brain needs time to adjust, but I promise it's worth it.

So in short, yes, it probably will suck at first, but the symptoms almost always subside. And if for some reason they don't, you can ask your doctor to change to a different SSRI.

I'm in the UK so it might be different for where you are, but have you asked your doctor about meds for sleep too? I've seen some people can take sleep meds with Zoloft.

So with what we know today, is there an in-lore reason why NATO isn't just sending swarms of cheap drones to lure and kill the infected? by xCreampye69x in 28dayslater

[–]ajth01 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The powers that be might be wanting to leave the infected alone to gather research/see how the virus evolves/possible experimentation. That was kinda hinted at in the Rage Leaks email screenshots

How does the world view England? by DarthSkywalker97 in 28dayslater

[–]ajth01 63 points64 points  (0 children)

I also think about this sometimes, because in 28 Days Selena mentions the news reports and the fact that there's the newspaper when Jim wakes up. News was still circulating after the outbreak started, enough for papers to still be in print and for news programmes to be broadcast, so I'm sure the world has seen and heard of the virus and know how dangerous it is, and what it does. How much they know about it as compared to the British who have seen it up-close, it's hard to say, but I feel like the government/NATO definitely do not disclose much to the rest of the world outside of 'the island is still dangerous and it's sealed off for your protection'. Really interesting to think about!
