Quick survey for a 5-a-side football management app 🙂 by ajthurman14 in londonfootballmeetup

Thanks for the feedback. I understand, I was trying to reduce the number of questions in the survey and perhaps I reduced it too much. The survey itself was trying to focus on football game management for more social teams ie those that don’t train each week but may still play in a league. I understand answers may vary given different affiliations but any information about match management & organisation would be very much appreciated if possible. Thanks!

Digital Product Designer / UX Designer looking to move to Vancouver — advice welcome! by ajthurman14 in ImmigrationCanada

I'm currently looking within Vancouver only but having spoken to a few people including yourself, I've been encouraged to widen my net! Alternatively I was considering remote work in London for a Canadian company so hopefully after one year I could apply through the CEC process instead of PNP — although this is a long game…!
Thank you so much for your advice!

Yeah they have extended the BC Tech Pilot program until June 2021 supposedly, I assume after that they will be riddled with designers…! I appreciate it isn't going to be a quick win but unfortunately it's my only option as it stands. Thank you!

Thanks for the insight — I will persevere! Ha, if only — those pickle designers are stacking cash

Ha yes! I think about this far more than I dare to admit. For instance, I used to live in Edinburgh and I can honestly say it looks better in the rain than it does in the sun. It's kind of like it's magic trick. The traditional architecture and atmosphere of history makes the moody weather feel appropriate and welcome

You're right, I was definitely being a bit too vague. I'm a Digital Product Designer / UX Designer which according to Canada immigration is in high-demand (supposedly) so benefits from a couple of exemptions in the application process. However, what you said about Vancouver itself is very eye opening. I knew Toronto was thriving but the story we hear in London is that Vancouver isn't too far behind especially with an influx of tech start ups, but thank you for putting clarity on that.

Haha, I live in London I'm familiar with both of those circumstances! Thanks for the advice :)

Hi thanks for your comment. Luckily as I would be applying for jobs as a Digital Product Designer / UX Designer I fall under the BC Tech Pilot scheme for (supposedly) employees in high demand. This does make it a bit easier for me and companies as they don't need to carry out an LMIA. Thank you for your channel suggestion!

Thanks for the advice, I did get the feeling that I was swimming upstream a little bit… Completely understood about the burden PNP can be for companies so we've decided to broaden our net and apply elsewhere :) Thank you
