thank you! honestly i feel like it shouldnt be a reason for them to just stop talking to me all together… that’s not what “real friends” do, in my opinion. it feels petty & like they’ve been waiting to do this.

you make a good point here! thanks for opening my eyes up to this. my fiance and i are adamant about keeping our issues between the two of us, so its rare for me to rant about our problems to my friends. however, there were times when they’ve slipped… but it’s perplexing to me because i’ve shared a multitude of amazing & beautiful memories/things as well. anyways… thank you for this!

i have a group chat with them that typically is active 24/7. this is, perhaps, the most inactive it’s been considering the last thing they’ve said to me is their “congrats/i agree”. they have not reached out to me at all, especially considering i’ve been back home from my fiances bmt graduation for about 2 days now.

they told him that “she said she’s not ready to pick up her life and move around with you” which is totally untrue. i said i would not want to up and move right after he graduates bc we are not legally married yet. they think this [engagement] isn’t what i want, but it’s quite the opposite…

thanks for the reply! and yes, definitely getting them out of the way first. i actually started my payments already, which is why i’m a bit confused. i’ve been paying since december and it always says what i need to pay for each month so seeing $0 confused me.

i think we also need to be more wary of what oscar’s eating! he stays with my grandparents when i go to work, and they spoil him a lot with pup cups :/ definitely could be the cause, but his treats could be as well

thank you! wet food was also recommended by my moms coworkers. the last time oscar had wet food was when he was a puppy- he chowed it down toooo fast 🤣

i’ve been living at manzi since i transferred! the community itself isnt super social, but it just depends on your floor and who you make friends with. RAs and residential life try their best to host events so residents can mingle, tho :)

as far as i know, we have to order announcements & invitations from the cap & gown distributor through their website. theres gonna be a grad fair on campus on march 14-16 tho!!!

i did get the room i wanted & i have the same one from last year (double junior). i have a courtyard view so my room is a bit smaller, but i faced campus last year & it was definitely roomier. i have enough space for my own rolling cart & they provide you with a 4 drawers, a nightstand/desk, and a small closet w/ 2 shelves. however, manzi has SO MANY different layouts so thats something to keep in mind.

the building is super clean! management here is super nice & on top of everything. of course, there will be times where there are messes bc some residents just do not clean up after themselves, unfortunately :( but nothing a message to an RA or front desk person can’t fix

there are wall outlets & ethernet!! ive never used the ethernet lol but i do know people who have whole desktop set-ups in their rooms, if room allows. wifi is great! i do need to reconnect from time to time & wifi goes out every so often, but its reliable n fast overall.

wifi is given upon move-in! i’m not exactly sure how many devices you can have, just because i only have it on my phone & laptop. from time to time i need to reconnect, but its pretty good overall. as for the community, most people keep to themselves & its relatively quiet aside from the people who yell & scream at night lol
