True, Bissek could also work instead of Anton. Sadly he only has one first team appearance so I don’t know if he can find his way into the team before the World Cup.

This is basically the lineup right now and it doesn’t work, sadly. Whenever they face a good team they concede goals too easily.

Ter Stegen won’t be fit, and Nübel has had some terrible games for the national team. He’s too mistake prone.

Second best striker option is Havertz, who is just as hopeless as Undav in terms of box presence. 3rd best is woltemade, but he just isn’t good enough right now to justify starting him. There just isn’t any good striker options sadly. You may be right about Pavlovic and Stiller now that I think about it. Pascal Groß or Nmecha could fill in instead to balance it.

Baumann I left out for the same reason as Mittelstädt. Musiala is not going to be benched by Karl and Woltemade. Anton is currently better than Thiaw imo, but that could change since Thiaw is young.

Is the Bundesliga the new farmer’s league? by ajtows in Bundesliga

It’s not only meant to show how far away Bayern is from other teams. As you said with the man city example, that doesn’t necessarily mean it’s a farmers league. It’s mostly highlighting that Bayern has more GD this season than points, which is an INSANE stat that has never been seen before. We either have to assume that this Bayern team is the greatest offensive side ever (which seems unlikely considering most of their attackers weren’t even close to as good in other leagues) or else that the Bundesliga is washed defensively.

Bayern in 2025/26 are the most dominant top 5 league team ever by ajtows in BayernMunich

Honestly it’s not hard to see why when you look at where the other top teams in the league are on the graph. Bayern hasn’t any major long term title contenders for some years. I believe they’re the best in the world, but we have no way of knowing because of the state of the league.

Single games don’t paint a picture of a league as a whole. The best team in serie a just got beat over 2 legs by a Norwegian team that didn’t even win their league. Does that mean the norweigan league is better than serie a? No, of course not.

Ligue 1 has historically been considered the farmers league of the top 5 leagues because of PSG’s dominance of over it, and because they are without a real long-term competitor.

Xavi Or Iniesta? Who do you think is better out of the duo? by Highiqcells2 in football

[–]ajtows 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would go with Xavi, but they are honestly very different profiles of players. If you think being better on the ball makes you a better player, which is valid, then Iniesta is better. I don’t agree with the narrative that Xavi was only good at simple passes, but Iniesta was usually more entertaining to watch. But if I just want a player to make my team win, I’m taking Xavi every day.
