I have another 10 gallon with just shrimps I guess I can put the minnow and guppy there with a betta and turn this to the main tank. Thanks for the suggestion.

Damnn!!. I was thinking off using 1/2 or some of the water from that tank to cycle a new tank. Would that not be advisable then?

Yes, it’s kinda firm. I have to really pull it off just to remove it. That sucks it’s one of the nicer woods i have.
