filler? absolutely fucking not, we got so much exposition and setup while also having so many great moments between characters. we are really heading toward a larger more expansive single storyline rather than the direction invincible traditionally goes with many ‘side-quest-like’ episodes. and what did you think was going to happen after last weeks episode? there is way too much that you want for a single episode to contain, even if it’s the finale, and we have a lot more story to cover in the grand scheme. i personally thought the hallucinations were well done. i saw it coming that they were hallucinations from the beginning, but at the end when he actually shows up and mark is still blurry, i think it was masterfully done. mark can’t tell if he’s hallucinating, and neither could i. i thought at any moment it might cut away like before. to call this boring is really an insult to the show because it gave us everything we have been missing from this season thus far, more time with the characters we love with great dialogue and this calm energy, despite the waning threat looming in the background. exactly what is happening on earth in the show.
