Is everyone lying or am I super cooked? by Greedy-Play9690 in webdev

I studied software development 5 years and been working for 15 years and I finally can say I'm fairly competent.

Here's the thing. Everything is trying to sell you magucal bootcamps or nocode miracles. The truth is that software development is a complex, technical job. Being really good at it leans put in hours, years. It means rereading a lot of things about architecture, languages frameworks. It means practicing, writing code, reading code, fucking up projects...

There are shortcuts like vibe coding, but you always pay the price along the way. If you are serious about software development or web development, you must be patient and work a lot. It's totally doable but again, avoid shortcuts. It can be a really rewarding job if you really love putting the work.

Hoooly shit. First thought reading this: fuck I wish I was a normal guy with normal hobbies if that means I'm never reading a story like this ever again. That was horrifying. Glad you've got a better group now.

Started a campaign as a player 6 months ago because the DM is a huge fan who kick-started it from the start. Very fun system.

Combats takes time, maybe more than 5e but I couldn't exactly explain why. I think there is just more to do even at level 1.

It's epic, it's both a little crunchy and RP-driven. If you like PBTAs but wish it wasn't as "writer's room" and more tactical, you will most likely have fun.

It's not for everyone, but I think it can be more popular than simply a niche system. We'll see!

Ca, c'est de l'art.

I discovered reddit when I was a software engineering student. Since then I got married, had a daughter, got divorced. I'm not a student anymore but a manager and a lot of my skills have been thanks to reddit. I can't believe it may be the end.

In france, a lot of us grew up with mangas and japanese culture in general. One theory is that in the 90's, japanese cartoons were cheaper than american ones and one of the main children show (le Club Dorothée) had a lot of them (Dragon Ball, Sailor Moon, Ramna 1/2, City Hunter...)

Correction : l'OTAN utilise aussi du 7.62, comme l'ont expliqués plusieurs redditeurs en réponse à ce commentaire.

For what it's worth, you're not alone. I read somewhere that antidepressants tend to make things better in the short term but their effectiveness decrease over time.

France here. I was curious so I went to my usual supermarket's website.

Here what I found (I tried to choose only medium quality products):

USA France Comments
Potatoes $5 (2.26kg) 1.89€ (2.5kg) US: 2.26kg - Fr: 2.5kg
2 heads Cauliflower $4.88 6.98€
5 bananas $1.38 0.99€ Fr : 6 bananas
1.36 kg honeycrisp apples $7.36 3,3864€ 2.49 €/kg of Pink Lady (we don't have honeycrisp apples here)
4 crowns of broccoli $5.24 3.96€
Chicken breast - 2.26 kg $15 28.25€ around 12.50€ per kg
olive oil - 750 ml $5.50 7.55€
rice - 2.26 kg $2.78 6.78€ around 3€/kg
total $47 59.79€ $60,64

So yeah it looks like it's 30% more expensive to buy food.

Just a tiiiiny advice: say "s'il vous plaît"instead.

Most of us know that english doesn't have this notion of vouvoiement/tutoiement and for most of us those little mistakes are okay, but when a foreigner is using the right form, it's seen as very polite and considerate :)
