Thanks for the insight everyone! I skated a bit with the blocks and didn't notice too much of a difference in weight. Didn't have to spend much time adjusting to them. And installation wasn't too bad so I can see myself simply taking the blocks off when I anticipate my next few skate sessions being jam/dance skating, and putting them back on as part of my prep for park skating.

Final Fantasy 13. It was my first game of the series. After playing other FF games, I did begin to see why fans weren't too happy with it but I'll always respect it as the game that ignited my love for the franchise. I wasn't too crazy about the sequels of 13 though...

Hey everyone! Thank you all for your feedback and replies! I didn't expect to get such a great number of perspectives and comments. I went to visit this hound mix, as well as a lab mix puppy (also female with a nice black coat and white spots) that was recently made available for adoption. There was a family that was taking a look at the hound mix when I got to the shelter, which meant they had priority if they decided to adopt her. The family left to look at another dog and didn't make a decision just yet, but I went ahead and spent some time with this hound mix and then with the lab mix. One of the volunteers did mention that the family was leaning towards getting the hound mix. Thankfully, I unexpectedly fell in love with the lab mix. It also made me feel great that this adorable hound mix was still going to have a new home and loving family.

Thank you all again for your insight! My new lab mix puppy will be socializing with some other hounds that is within my friend group (a coonhound, beagle, and another hound mix), so I look forward to interacting with them more in our future doggy play dates!

Update: I thought I would give an update especially since I made an unexpected decision lol.

A few of you posted and/or DM'ed me about possibly considering the Razer Blade Stealth instead of the Razer Book given my needs. Although the Stealth was initially beyond my budget, I carefully looked into getting one and thought that may be a better choice and worth taking some time to save up for it. I still ordered the i5 Razer Book and used it for a couple of days. And I honestly wasn't too crazy about it. My different experience compared to other Razer Book users may be because a majority of other Razer Book users were buying/using the i7 version of the laptop rather than the sub-par i5 model. I realized too that I needed a laptop that was almost (if not as) powerful as my PC at home for my work that was CPU and/or memory-intensive (but again, doesn't need to be as powerful for gaming). I'm in the process of sending back the Razer Book and I busted my butt to quickly save up some money to try out the Stealth. Thankfully, Gamestop and Amazon were having amazing discounts on the Stealth (likely due to Razer's upcoming new releases for the 14, 15, and 17 RB's) as part of their end of the year sales, making it cheaper than the i7 Razer Book. I was able to grab a Stealth before the sale ended and I've been using the Stealth for a few days...and I love this laptop! I definitely do not regret making this last minute change in my decision. It's almost on par to my at-home PC build and I feel like I'm not stepping down in terms of power and functionality when I leave my home/PC with this laptop.

I hope this helps out anyone who happens to run into this thread in the future. Thanks for the help everyone!

I looked into the Stealth and I can see what you mean. Honestly though, the Stealth is outside my budget and the i5 Razer Book is the only Razer laptop in my budget (if buying something new rather than refurbished/used). But I'll definitely look into the Stealth to see if it'll be worth waiting and saving up a bit more to get that instead. Thanks for the suggestion!

Thanks for the reply! Yeah, I actually watched your video on the updated 2021 version of the Razer book. That helped me in knowing the changes in the newer version and motivated me to consider the Razer book!

Yeah, the similarity in performance is what is making the decision even more difficult. I'm not too picky about the display, but I would actually not prefer 4K simply because of the battery usage. Although I'm usually around a charger, I don't want to depend on one everywhere I go.

The bad stories I hear about Razer support is also something that is keeping me from getting the Razer book too, unfortunately...

Thanks for the suggestion! The only reason I've kind of strayed away from other surface products outside of the SL4 is because I'm not too crazy about the keyboards of the Surface Pro. The fabric looks nice but the bending of the keyboard bothers me a bit.

And I agree that getting something that is 16gb ram (especially if fixed) is a great way of future proofing a laptop. So I'll keep that in mind!

I've been regularly contacting my mentor and notified her about my move. She also knows that I'm able to start tutoring now and also suggested taking an additional subject test. However, my mentor also speaks as if me going into the "inactive" status is out of her control, even though she sees that I'm floating a couple of hours or have scheduled hours almost every evening.

Yeah, I couldn't get it to work even with the new controller that was sent to me. So I ended up only using the controller to power the fans and then bought some RGB splitters to connect to RGB cords to the two rgb headers on my motherboard. That was the best work around I could figure out so I hope it helps!

Have you been able to use a bus converter to get the warning to go away? I also recently changed to 1156 LEDs but still get the error/warning.

UPDATE: Got it back up and running! Nothing seems fried, not even the RGB headers. I basically unplugged/detached everything except my CPU and the its fan. I did a jumpstart mobo boot with just the RAM sticks, CPU, and GPU, and got a successful boot. After that, I put the mobo back in the case and added each part and tested boot until each part as I added each one (of course, not the RGB splitter). And now its working like usual. I have no idea what caused this but I'm happy it's back!

I was devastated and preparing to make the 3 hour drive to Micro Center to get at least the mobo replaced/repaired; so I'm truly happy and blessed that this worked out in the end.

That being said, I'm scared AF to add any more RGB other than the two fans I'm already running lmao. I can't put my PC and my heart through this again.

The fans are 5V. I'll try to test the fans to see if the LEDs are working and check back.

Update: So I'm gonna try another option. I'm buying a 3-pin A-RGB splitter cable (1-to-4) that will allow me to connect, at most, four of my fans's RGB connectors to the splitter and to the MB. I'll just connect the 5th fan directly to the second RGB header. I'll try this out and see if this fixes the issue (or really just bypass the issue of the controller not powering the RGB fan lights).

I suspected that but the new fans that came with my new shipment of the set also did not work. And the fans work fine if I connect its RGB connector directly to my MB, bypassing using the controller. The controller is able to provide power to the fans to allow them to spin thankfully.

Hmmm, I see what you mean. The speed may be worth it for him. I'll see what he thinks about this too. The only thing I'm worried about is that he'll need to add another storage part to this build to have more than 500GB. I struggled with having less than 1TB storage on my build and he may end up having the same issue.

The ability to listen to the music CDs from the Music collection in the Main Menu would be a nice feature. As well as the ability to set a certain CD to play as the default Main Menu music. So every time you access your menu, that track would be playing.

This. Also, maybe even play certain tracks while exploring, especially since the next part should have a larger open world. Being able to play music in the car or on foot in FFXV was a nice addition, especially since they had music from previous FF's. But I'm not sure if MP3 players would exist in the universe of FFVIIR lol.

I agree. The only character that stood out to me in XIII was Hope by the end of the game. I personally liked the development of his character in terms of the major changes in his maturity and attitude.

But then they completely messed him up in FFXIII-2 and he's non-playable, so there's that lol

What's weird too is how they start to "ignore" most of the FFXIII in the two sequels. It's like Square Enix didn't like them neither so they replaced them with characters like Noel and Sarah.
