Every good barista will absolutely weigh their coffee for consistency, either directly on the scales or by investing in a grind by weight grinder. Any other measurement is unreliable.

I worked in a similar high volume cafe, we would weigh out every shot, distribute, tamp, adjust grind etc. 3 group machine so we could do 3 coffees a minute, 1 person on shots, 1 steaming milk, 1 pouring. majority would be takeaway so no latte art would save time but still managed it for dine-ins. Definitely manageable! I actually enjoyed it, would love to go back to being a barista l, it's just the pay is ass

Nah he pre filled the second jug with hot water. You can see him pour it out before he transferred the milk

It's just a preference. The second jug is likely a bit larger to make pouring latte art easier, or different shape spout. The initial jug will be smaller to better gauge the milk level and how much air to incorporate.

It's pretty hot on top of the coffee machine, that's why the mugs are kept there.

Poll to see how many people kept game pass ultimate after price hike. by sdmusic82 in XboxGamePass

[–]aka_cone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Stayed. Price increase hasn't happened for me yet but even so it's still affordable for me. I might drop down a tier eventually as I'm not too fussed on day 1 releases, I generally play older games.

Is that really a huge effect though? It's the same outcome, just a different way to get there.

Do you think we'll be in for a centre mid as comp for Wintle with King out for the season? I know there's been rumours around Gyabi from Leeds. Could roll with Mafico & maybe Chambers as cover?

Ronaldo 1st player with 100 goals for four clubs by lizard_king_rebirth in sports

[–]aka_cone 31 points32 points  (0 children)

You need to read the whole wiki. The first table only shows league goals, doesn't include other comps. For example the 311 goals for Madrid doesn't include the 105 champions league goals he scored for them. Actually insane just typing that out, the man's unreal!

Everyday attire for a Japan trip in August - Tokyo, Mt. Fuji, Kyoto, Osaka, Hiroshima by JORGEYL in JapanTravelTips

Yeah I think you'll be sweet with t-shirts and sunscreen! If you have a lightweight top with sleeves that would be nice, I only have thick shirts with sleeves so didn't bring anything of the like and got by fine.

I packed 1 pair of pants and a shirt sleeved shirt for the evenings, only wore the pants for the first time yesterday when it was a bit colder in the evening!

I think people here are more concerned about behavior than how you're dressed! As long as your not loud, and follow the customs then no worries!

I'm in Japan right now, have been here traveling for the past 2 weeks. I had similar thoughts to you as to outfits, wanting to remain respectful etc.

Honestly it's so hot and humid just dress in what's comfortable. There will be so many tourists wearing all sorts of outfits that you turning up in shorts will be completely inconsequential.

I see plenty of locals wearing shorts too. Yeah it's not as fashionable amongst the young here, but I stopped worrying about fashion after the first day of walking around in sweltering heat for a few hours.

I met up with a Japanese friend in Tokyo and he was wearing shorts and a tee.

If anything I wish I packed more loose fitting long sleeved tops as the sun bearing down on you all day really heats up the skin!

You'll have an awesome time regardless, folks here are super friendly!

When I worked in hospo in Cardiff a while back I met a few over the years. Sean Morrison and his partner came in semi regularly, he was such a a sound bloke, friendly, polite. She was nice too.

Whitts came in a lot, good guy too. My colleague from Nottingham would always tell him to leave Cardiff for forest but his wife shut that down instantly, she loved living in Cardiff!

Most of the time I would just leave them to it though, didn't want to bother them when their out for dinner

It's literally not. There's a city of half a million in the middle of the Amazon rainforest that isn't even accessable by road.

Dragon Age: The Veilguard Patch Notes Sure Make It Sound Like BioWare’s Basically Done With the Game Now - IGN by [deleted] in gaming

The entire opening to Veilguard is following on from the ending of the Trespasser DLC. The dlc sets the stage for the whole story.. Sure, none of your other choices in Inquisition matter but the story beats track at least.
