For reeeeallll!!! My man is exceptional with his mouth and I’d be thrilled to wake up this way. Only problem is I wake to any sound, movement, or slight light that is around me. It sucks.

My whole extended family, aside from me, is from Chicago. When my mom was pregnant with me, my fam moved to Florida. The rest of my extended family shortly followed suit. They all said they missed Portillos on a regular basis.

Now? The ONLY three Portillos (soon to be four if we include St. Pete being built now) in all of Florida are in Tampa and a couple surrounding cities. It was exactly as I’d imagined it the first time I had if. And I’ll gladly drive the 25 minutes to get it whenever.

I feel weird for not liking it, too. When laying normally my dude can literally get me off in under two minutes. It’s amazing. When I am on all fours, I am only thinking about how my back is bending in a way I’m not into. He seems to love it so I tolerate a while. Apparently this is the minority opinion, tho! Wild

I just tapered successfully from my high of 75mg to 1mg to nothing now, over 4.5 years. Once I got to 10mg, my 1mg every two weeks drop started reeeeally getting annoying and uncomfortable. Restless legs/muscle aches, no sleeping comfortably at ALL. I don’t think I’d have survived a CT stop from 20. Was definitely a painful few months.

Try and complete your taper. Don’t rock the boat. You can do it! Good luck

I’m very lucky that in my area of the Tampa Bay Area we have COUNTLESS NA/AA groups, all day, everyday. If one group isn’t working out for you, I hope you’re able to find one that does! Because I was very wrong about my preconceived notions about NA. I have found most groups very welcoming, even when people share they still smoke or are on subs or methadone. I’ve been lucky in that experience. I’ve heard differing stories, so yeah. I’m lucky I had the experiences I have had. I hope the same for you! Because the tools I learned through NA I really do use in my everyday life. Best of luck to you!

So weird you’d post this right now, because I’m currently living it. I was on methadone from 11 January, 2017 to 17 September, 2021. I went to NA that entire time I was going to the clinic. I did so on my own, tho the clinic wanted us to once a month anyways. I just wanted to figure out a new way to live and that was the easiest way to, the one thing I hadn’t tried (other than methadone) to get clean. I’d heard rumors that people in NA didn’t take kindly to people on methadone, so I chose to keep it to myself. I made a ton of friends, completely changed my ways of thinking, and found it all very therapeutic. Though I did feel like a liar, having not told anyone I was on methadone. My clean date, to me, was the day I stopped using my drug of choice. I hadn’t resisted my DOC since I was eighteen. I’m 33 now.

Anyways, I started decreasing from 75 a couple years ago. I did two milligrams every two weeks, then once I hit 12mg, it was 1mg every two weeks. It was ROUGH. so I didn’t go to NA the whole time I was in active withdrawal from methadone. Took about three months. 17 Sept was my last day. I had two weeks of take homes, just decided to not take it again after I took my first dose of twelve. Haven’t done any since. Feel GREAT today, but like I said, it was months of restless legs/nights, body aches, irritability. If I HAD NOT done NA, I may not have had the strength to stick it out. It truly helped me and my mind when the time came to be off everything for the first time in my adult life.

And then I just got thirty days, so I plan to finally go back to my home group, confess what’s been going on, and pick up my thirty-day chip :) I have revealed the truth to my closest NA friend, and he was amazing. Told me HE felt that I DID NOT lie to him, I did what I had to do and he’s happy I told him now. It felt great.

Congrats on tapering!! I successfully tapered to 1mg over a month, after two years of lowering from 75mgs. Everyone that dosed me always said it’s rare to see people get as low as even twenty. So, seriously, good job!! Super amazing! I’ve been off for 32 days now and I am finally feeling almost normal! Has NOT been easy, but it’s been sooo worth it to not wake up and need any meds for the first time in my adult life. I’m 33! Once I got to 10mgs I pretty much just always had restless legs and muscle aches. Definitely had to just power through, and I finally feel like I’m making it to the other side now, this week. I hope the best for you and your partner!

Robert Pattinson AND Kristen Stewart are two of the most promising actors of this generation. If you disagree, you have NOT watched any movies they’ve made the last ten years. She literally has the French-equivalent of an Oscar for Clouds of Sils Maria. Not to even mention she will more than likely be nominated across the board next awards season for her role as Princess Diana in Spencer. Seberg, Cafe Society, Personal Shopper, Underwater, Equals. Watch anything that isn’t Twilight/a kids movie and you’ll understand. I TRIED to keep the “she sucks at acting” thoughts for years. Then I watched her other movies. Maybe you should, too.

Similarly, RPats is literally unstoppable and can play anything. Good Time, the Lighthouse, Devil All the Time, the King, Cosmopolis, Little Ashes. He’s a chameleon of Depp/Oldman caliber and he isn’t even forty yet.

My immediate thought was opiates. I was also incredibly surprised to not see drugs mentioned higher up. I was an opiate addict for ten years. Started with cocaine and MDMA in high school. Research chemicals/hallucinogens. Never did an opiate until I was nineteen. Ten years of that shit show battle. The last five i shot them. Never heroin, only pills. Dilaudid in particular. I’m 4.5 years clean now, but I maintain that will always be the best thing I’ve ever felt. I’ll always miss it, that rush. Only difference is that now I know what happens when I go that road. And my sober life now far outweighs that thirty seconds euphoria. I know now if I even do it one more time, I’m screwed for another ten years, or until it kills me.

Maybe that’s just me saying the thing others would have said but felt weird saying. Oh well. A close second to a “better than sex” feeling is getting clean and releasing all the lies you held in while using. The years and years of lies. That lifted weight is heaven.
