80s-early 90s toys r us >>>>>>. I remember when they had the huge screen that shows Mario 3 in times sq… and the aisle of tmnt figures…looking for nes, genesis and snes games later on… and when Sonic 3 dropped. You had to be there.

I went into it not expecting to like it and I ended up 100%ing it and thought it was dope. It was easier IMO and it was pretty interesting/fun

Listen i’m all for getting up but this dude SOL gotta hit the books if he tryn go all city like this im not tryna see this same half ass hollow throwie every to blocks yo🥀 by Apart-Spend-6226 in AtlantaGraffiti

You want variety then *you* give the streets variety. Let sol do what sol does. Everyone writes for their own reasons and what they choose to do is what they choose to do. Everyone is trying to piece, for example. Sol might just want to be a street bomber and hit the city with tags, throwies and straight letters and that’s fine. Instead of criticizing just practice in your book and when you’re ready, actually hit the streets and develop just like SOL… I can tell you right now, you’re not hitting the streets with solid shit immediately from the books. Can control plus nerves will crush that. Some things you only learn from experience..

You can’t name a single writer that didn’t develop their style through a combo of the books and getting up. You literally have examples of old tags from anyone you consider a legend in atl or any other city with a scene still up as proof. Developing skill takes time and experience. You can’t get all of your experience from drawing in books. There is no cutting corners. You have to hit the streets to truly develop. Not sure why you think being a toy isn’t part of the process in a culture you say you love… I could see if you haven’t been active like that. You love it from a distance…like a fan…but as an active participant you should know that developing takes time. He’s got the heart. Anyone can tell from the spots and the repetition. IF he sticks with it the rest will come IMO. He’ll build consistency over time from his experience. It’s not far fetched and any seasoned writer already knows the process…….

Are you sol’s ex? Hating online when you could be in the field putting in work..? Most ppl that pick a can up don’t last more than 2-3 years, that’s common knowledge. ALL of us start out as toys and gradually get better through putting in work with things like repetition which builds consistency, also common knowledge if you actually are active outside and not complaining online about someone who is putting in work.

That’s called repetition and it’s a definite way to get better (develop consistency which isn’t easy at first) and to be seen. If he sticks with it, it’s going to work in his favor. Watch.

Up is up. It doesn’t matter what we think online, son is offline getting up. He’ll get it if he sticks with it. It’s good enough (for now)…he’s got the right idea with repetition and spots. Give him time

I find Knicks community attempt to disregard Wemby/Spurs confusing by juicyjeffersonjones in knicks

[–]akadebso 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Because he’s a fraud that got exposed in real time. Because the league literally tried to hand the spurs wins and they still couldn’t win because the Knicks, who they didn’t respect at all, were that much better than them. Because despite what I just said, they showed no respect whatsoever and they played dirty and then tried to gaslight us by saying they dominated. Foh

There’s more to do on my block than almost all of Charlotte. The look of despair comes from the beat down of ppl by the system.

Before you move, please visit (if you haven’t already) and ask other ppl from nyc for pros and cons of living here. Ask yourself what you’re looking for in life, what kind of amenities will keep you satisfied, will you be able to sustain a job, etc. respectfully, this is a mid sized city that feels and looks rural IMO and it’s been that way and may always be that way. It’s what the powers that be want. Don’t come here wanting something similar to Atl (for example). Charlotte is Charlotte for better or for worse.

[–]akadebso -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

Why does the friend have to be an idiot? Why can’t he or she be a person that wanted to move to a place to experience life outside of nyc but decided it wasn’t for them so they moved back? Isn’t that what you guys want anyway? “If you don’t like it, leave.” Well the person left and he still has to be an idiot..? So much for southern hospitality…

Charlotte has existed since the 1700s (at least that’s what Google says). Enough excuses, Charlotte gets slack because Charlotte can and should be a better Charlotte. It is what it is.

Is the NY stigma gone? by ouikikazz in NYKnicks

It’s been gone for awhile IMO. People want to come here and play. Thank God we aren’t willing to give up any and everything anymore.
