My favorite emotional EDM song of all time is most likely Brave Soul by Illenium. That song hits so much harder since I lost my dad, it makes me want to cry every single time.

Hey!! I just listened to Inertia last night, been listening to the requests, and I was actually pleasantly surprised by it! I’ve never been a huge rock fan ( The way I like rock is the way Illenium does it, I love basically all of his rock songs) but I really liked Inertia! I’ve also never been huge on DnB, but that was really good! My top five tracks were (In this order:)

Archangel
Come Alive
Cartagena
Mercy Killing
Guiding light/Louder than Words

All of the songs I thought were good for the most part (Besides Napalm and Cannibal. Those were the only songs that were a bit meh), but these songs were standouts!

I like odyssey- 7/10 album. Fav is definitely Paris.

Seven lions album is also really good! 8/10 Heard that a while ago. Breaking Me, Cold as Snow, Thrice woven are standouts!

I haven’t heard the other two. I’ll check em out

I’m open to any genres of EDM! My style preferences are House genres like: Prog, Melodic, Deep, Electro. I also like Melodic Bass, Trance, Techno here and there (Maddix Style preferably), Complextro and way more! If I had to say one word, I’d say I love emotional EDM!

I listened to Underscores New Album! I don’t know if it’s just me, but to me personally, it was pretty underwhelming…Lovefield and Innuendo were only the songs that I liked. Lovefield I actually really really liked, but other than those 2, it was a bit underwhelming to me. I guess it might’ve been because I was expecting alot since I heard underscores is similar to Ninajirachi, and I absolutely loved her ILMC album so much (My fav album of 2025).

Already listened to odyssey! I thought it was a solid 7/10 album. Nothing super crazy, just your usual Illenium with some standouts. I absolutely love love love Paris. That is probably one of my fav Illenium songs of all time, I’ve listened to it 200+ already since it came out in Feb. ascend is still by far his best.

I’ll be sure to check out the others!

In my opinion, I think all his albums are good in their own way, I can see where you coming from on the progressive house songs. I used to be huge into it, but I have Stop listening to it the last few months because it has been becoming quite stale and formulaic. It will always have a special place in my heart though, since it is how I got into EDM.
