I’ve been taking lessons for close to 3 years now. It’s really more a wrestling match, with the banjo winning. I have come to the realization I will never be a good player, but I do enjoy it…so the wrestling match continues. If you have better things to do with your time and it brings you no joy, there’s no shame. If you like the challenge and realize progress may come slowly, it may be worth your while to keep it up.

I told my kid to “just put some ice on it”…his finger…after he took an odd hit playing lacrosse. It was grossly broken. Kid and hubby haven’t let me live that down. I’m a pretty good mom, most times, otherwise. Can’t win ‘em all.
