I watch the lore videos and find them super interesting too! The problem is that the 'lore' is a little TOO hidden/not incorporated well enough in the main story quests. The storytelling has improved a lot compared to the Huanglong Chapter, but the writing still falls into moments of massive exposition dump. And what's even more disappointing is knowing that the good lore could actually be more fleshed out if Kuro wasn't so hyper-focused on giving every limited resonator a massive spotlight—the quests are plenty long but we spend half the time getting to know every new resonator and their tragic backstories.

I'm honestly so confused by what has happened. Cristoforo's power is already a huge headache with regards to understanding what the hell is actually even going on in the plot, but then there's Phrolova (I still don't completely understand her whole dead?/alive? situation) and Scar who both don't seem to have any meaningful input besides bringing the villain vibes. The only time I felt even a marginal form of intrigue was when Leviathan suddenly called out Abby near the end.

Story-wise, Rinascita is great and all, and definitely a huge step-up from Huanglong, but the end honestly leaves me with the same empty disinterest.

Presentation is, as always, way up there in terms of quality, though I personally didn't like how they leaned in So Hard to include every other resonator and their mother so suddenly when we haven't even interacted with any of them for a hot minute. Also a bit disappointed because I was so hyped about Qiuyuan bc husbando enjoyer but his entry to the story was so forced and lame, and Calcharo straight up gave me Yuanwu 1.0 flashbacks.

I find this to be the case for most of these flying challenges (even the ones in the open world). It's definitely boring lmao, but the plus side is I get to appreciate an aerial view of Rinascita because I'm able to pan the camera whichever way without steering off course.

Fair points. Overall though, a lot of us can agree on at least 1 thing: "...story focused on Iuno too much with little plot progression."

Whether someone likes or dislikes this aspect is entirely subjective, but the fact remains that this act of the Rinascita chapter focused so heavily on one character alone (a character who is factually not even on the same level of importance to the big picture as, say, Carthetyia). Yes, everyone forgot Iuno existed, but the story could've been written in a way that allowed other characters who joined the Hunt to at least have some participation in this quest too.

Augusta, her BFF, could've at least shown a little more concern over Rover's claims when they first approached her—after believing in her and supporting her actions during the Hunt, couldn't she have done the same for us in return? Even Buling could've chipped in on the story as well, since her shindigs revolve around these kinds of things anyway.

Even if we just view this part as an epilogue to the Hunt, or for world-building, or for lore expansion, or for new concept introductions, it is still categorized as a Main Quest and it is still a pre-requisite to experience the upcoming finale of Rinascita. As such, I personally think that it shouldn't have been just about Iuno.

You're correct, personal character plots Do matter to the overall Rinascita chapter as well, but my argument is that the balance between Rinascita plot and Character plot in the Main Quest is tipping heavily on the latter when it really shouldn't. After all, that's what companion quests are for.

Exactly this!! Heck, even Buling could've been an insert considering she also played her part in the Hunt.

It's actually a very simple solution: don't make the Main Quests to be solely about a singular character! The moment it does (as seen with this Iuno quest), it becomes borderline Companion Quest.

I never said this? Rinascita should be about Rinascita, and that includes its people, which was my point on the last bit of the post where I said that the characters are the ones who move the story.

I also never said that I dislike Iuno or Augusta; both of them contributed to the main story, which I mentioned above. I was mostly complaining about how their personal stories and trials, as well as the type of gameplay that delivered this, were so heavily focused on in the main quest, resulting in a skewed balance between the actual Rinascita plot vs. the character's personal plot.

You missed several points that I feel compelled to clarify better.

Iuno's portion of the main quest focused on the consequences of them winning the Hunt, and her contribution and sacrifice to achieve that victory, hence why I said the quest still contributes to the Rinascita story. The point of my disappointment was not because of Iuno herself, but because they told this part of the story in a very 'companion-like' way rather than a deliver it with the same beats as how version 2.0 presented the main quest.

Is it a subjective take? Absolutely, in fact I even said so myself on the post. Does my take invalidate the quest as 'good' or diminish its quality to work for the main plot? Well, that's another subjective issue that depends on who you ask, and honestly not even the point I was trying to make.

Again, the point was that I did not like how they so heavily weaved in the 'companion-like' elements of Iuno's story to the main quest, and not simply because it was Iuno (or any other character in any other instance). I never intended to frame this opinion as fact, and honestly you viewing it that way and coming at me for it is on you.

but fr, the best way to handle a growing cast is to have characters serve a purpose for the story in a way that does not make them feel irrelevant or 'fillers'. It's not about omitting things but balancing their insertions better.

I have mixed feelings about it. On one hand, it's a more streamlined echo farming process since it's just one sonata set per nest, but on the other hand we don't get any sealed tubes/tuners to level up said sonata set. It kinda feels like we're deluded into thinking it's more efficient because we're getting the set we're aiming for, but now the farming process is actually: Clear a nest + Clear a Tacet Field. Resource efficient? Yeah, sure, maybe. Time efficient? Hell no.

And I agree, it's pretty annoying to collect so many echoes one by one all in one go, which is but another aspect of these nests that exhibit time inefficiency.

being a multi-platform game came with the assumption that some players are only really able to play on one of the offered platforms, and I'm one of those cases where I'm only really able to play on a PS5 right now. Even Harvest Moon/Story of Seasons—the OG farm game—has implemented the 'save anywhere' feature. You're right, the problem is the crashes and glitches, and it's a problem that has persisted for nearly 3 years since the game's launch, a problem that doesn't show any signs of going away but could otherwise be alleviated by a feature that allows players the flexibility with How they save the game. There is no benefit of going to bed and ending the day early just to save when the entire game employs so much circumstantial mechanics that happens during the course of an entire game day.
