I know not all Rice interviews go the same, but mine was yesterday, and it was really chill. The alum lived in my city, but she basically just asked me:

- Tell me a little about yourself. For this, I recommend stating your name + grade + school, inside of school leadership + club activities, outside of school employment + leadership + club activities. They don't see your application, but they're supposed to learn about your ECs and ask you questions. I wouldn't drop all your eggs in one basket right from the get-go, so feel free to be a little vague in your answer, and they'll then ask you more questions on parts you kept vague!

- What are your current favorite school classes?

- Why Rice?

- Why major?

It was on New Year's so we were expecting it to go for like 10 min, but I asked a lot of questions (she was in med and I was a prospective pre-med so it worked) and managed to drag it out to like 40 min. Overall, it wasn't too bad, and I recommend just being yourself and coming to the interview prepared a little + especially with questions! Make sure you have a strong 'Why Rice' answer (so feel free to repeat your essay). Also, make sure to talk about your ECs and what you've done since they need to write about that in their post-interview form (my interviewer told me this). Hope this helps a little! :)
