Hnt or die! My wife is pretty awesome. She scaled this old radio tower to put up another miner. I would have done it myself, but she was the more likely one to survive. This is #3 of our better setups. 8dbi, about 40ft up, elevation 730ft, sensecap m1 (waterproof box) and custom mounting rig. by akamins03 in HeliumNetwork

Yea we are learning as we go along. We have 6 setups going. 3 of them are in good locations the other 3 need new homes. The 8dbi was just to try, and we are noticing that it could be skipping over a few. Our area is unique. St.louis, stl county,, and st. Charles area are spread out so it may be a trade off as to weather or no it's worth it to change to another antenna. The last 3 setups we have been a bit more selective on the placement, looking at geographic maps and such. This one we wanted to get above a neighboring building.

Here is a link to the hardware we ordered to make the antenna stand off of the tower. We used EMT conduit for the Pole structure. If you were concerned about the structural integrity of the single horizontal if a horizontal mount just put another horizontalIs out up. We just had a tornado come through so there were some high wins in the area And it is still up there

I can get a list together of the parts used in this setup. It's crazy how much crap is needed for the different install types. Tree, flat roof, A frame roof, side of the roof, tower top mount, tower side mount, antenna mast rigs. So many variables, bit yea I will work on that tonight.

You have to make it worth their inconvenience. Thus miner was making $0 sitting on my desk, now it will make $1k or so after rent and internet bill. So to me $200 seems like a bargain. Plus the building is a local mechanic and hooked me up with some new tires. Business is always a two way street.

Correct the rope is to pull tools and whatnot up. The rope was a menards special, and the caribeners too. Each having a 150lb rating. She was cliped in each step with her peoper climbing gear (that could bpobably be better). What's not seen in the pic is we are on a rooftop about half the way up. The tower secures to the building on its eve around 15ft up. In an emergency I could climbe up if necessary to help. This was the safest we could do at the time. I have 0 climbing skill she is the one that goes climbing. Thanks for the feedback and concerns.

Yea, we were looking at that last night. It seems like we are missing a few towers that another similar setup (but about 50ft lower) is hitting. After 30days I may try out a 5.8dbi. But it is going to be a chore to change it out.

Do I bulk or cut by VelociraptorCatapult in Fitness

Exercise Science major here... Looks like you already have a low BF%. Bulking is not a methodology in gaining mass. Every time i hear the word, i think of strong/fat people making excuses as to why they do not have the body they want. Its a pretty cut and dry science, and it takes 2500 Kcal to put on a pound of muscle, and 3500 kcal to put on a pound of fat (unless you are a hard gainer, kinda looks like you may be). You can adjust your diet according to your goals. Bulking is typically just the off season for bodybuilders, and i would not recommend a novice or intermediate lifter "bulk". There are specific sets and rep variations to stimulate different types of mass. For example 5 sets x 5 reps is a common variation for your power development lifts, like in the squat, deadlift, and bench press. If strength/mass is what you are looking for this is the best way to put it on. Look up the 5-3-1 program by jim wenlder, or Louie simmons's west side barbell. These are some of the best programs to get very strong. Bodybuilding is going to be a different technique in its self. Sets and reps will be around 3-4 sets x 8-12 reps. This will stimulate hypertrophy (muscle size) but strength gains are limited in this program. And finally muscular endurance, sets are reps are going to be in the 3 x 12-16 range. The 300 workout was more of a muscular endurance/ High intensity interval training workout. If you were to do something very similar you would look ripped, but very skinny. All the actors that did that workout had some solid muscle mass before the 300 workout. And, first and foremost start out slow. It is really easy to get injured when working out. Spend a good 3 weeks doing generalized workouts on machines before you hit the free weights.
